Yu Shubo met with his older sister to thank her for supporting him. However, his sister explained that the reason she transferred money from the manga club’s funds to sponsor her brother's social event wasn’t because of his identity, but because the event was well organized. She also reminded him to make sure the publishing house's logo was prominently displayed so everyone could see it.
Yu Shubo bought a gift for his sister, and at first, she was very happy with it. However, when she found out that almost all the women in the family had also bought her gifts, she became a little disappointed. She encouraged her brother to date a girl and told him that if he found someone he liked, he should give her a gift alone. Bai Xiaoduo also went to find Yu Shubo, having mistaken him for Blake.
She apologized for the misunderstanding, admitting that she had impersonated Blake's assistant. When Bai Xiaoduo found out that Yu Shubo was organizing a social event, she happily returned to the manga club, thinking that the event was being held for the manga club and that she could recruit people for the club there. Bai Xiaoduo was walking by the river with Su Yancheng when they ran into their senior, He Rui.
He Rui greeted Su Yancheng warmly, but he remained cold and seemed to reject her. To ease the awkwardness, Bai Xiaoduo took the initiative to invite He Rui to shop for clothes for the social event. The next day, Bai Xiaoduo, He Rui, and Lin Xiaomiao went shopping for clothes, and He Rui picked out a beautiful dress for Bai Xiaoduo. The day of the social event arrived, and the boys from the manga club attended.
They were deeply attracted to the beautifully dressed girls at the event. Bai Xiaoduo appeared in the dress that He Rui had chosen for her, which impressed both Su Yancheng and Yu Shubo. During the event, He Rui performed a wonderful act, which received enthusiastic applause from the crowd. When the game segment of the event began, the wristbands given to everyone earlier were now activated, and their main purpose was to match up pairs.
Bai Xiaoduo took the opportunity to promote the manga club, successfully recruiting many people. Yu Shubo found Bai Xiaoduo, and as they shared a deep gaze, his wristband suddenly lit up, signaling that he was feeling attracted to her. He quickly covered his wristband and left to avoid it. Bai Xiaoduo didn’t understand and thought Yu Shubo just wasn’t feeling well, so she continued her efforts to recruit for the manga club.
He Rui approached Su Yancheng, hoping to get closer to him, but Su Yancheng’s attention was entirely focused on Bai Xiaoduo. When he saw several boys coming over to talk to her, he felt a pang of jealousy and angrily left He Rui to find Bai Xiaoduo. Su Yancheng and Bai Xiaoduo sat down together to talk.
Meanwhile, Lin Xiaomiao and Xiao Yang were also chatting, and when they saw Su Yancheng and Bai Xiaoduo together, they thought the two looked good together. Xiao Yang took the opportunity to invite Lin Xiaomiao to join the manga club, and Lin Xiaomiao felt a bit shy about it. When the game segment continued, Su Yancheng and Bai Xiaoduo were paired up by drawing lots. During the game, they were out of sync and made several mistakes.
In the end, both of them got injured during the game—Su Yancheng hurt his hand, and Bai Xiaoduo hurt her foot, requiring hospitalization. Bai Xiaoduo, who had passed out on the way to the hospital, was disoriented when she woke up. When she saw Su Yancheng’s injured leg, she felt deeply guilty.
