Xiao Yang was escorting Lin Xiaomiao home when he silently praised Su Yancheng for his heroic and clever actions in saving the damsel in distress. Not only had he won the girl’s heart, but he also skillfully resolved the awkward situation. Lin Xiaomiao looked up at the streetlight on the corner and gently reminded Xiao Yang that it was almost curfew time, urging him to return soon. Xiao Yang glanced at his watch and saw that it was indeed late.
He quickly said goodbye and headed home. Meanwhile, Bai Xiaoduo was in her dorm room, lightly tapping her phone screen as she sent a brief message to her father, asking for financial help due to her current predicament. Shortly after, the phone rang, and her father's voice came through the receiver, full of concern. Bai Xiaoduo reassured him casually, saying she was fine and it was just a minor issue.
However, her father insisted that she should speak up if she encountered difficulties and not bear them alone. He also joked about missing the chubby little girl she once was, though now, with her slim figure, she had a unique charm. Bai Xiaoduo laughed and replied that she preferred her current lightness. Before hanging up, she quickly ended the call, saying her roommates were asleep.
The next morning, Bai Xiaoduo woke up and saw the skirt she had damaged in the accident the day before. A hint of regret stirred in her; had it not been for that mishap, the skirt might still be intact. Su Yancheng, standing nearby, teased her, laughing at how she had been fretting about it all morning. Just as he was about to head to the bathroom, he hesitated because of his injury. Bai Xiaoduo, noticing, offered to help him.
The unspoken understanding and warmth between them flowed quietly in that moment. Elsewhere, Su Yancheng received a call from his mother, informing him that the planned visit had been canceled due to work changes. Although he felt a little disappointed, he understood his mother’s hard work and calmly accepted the change. On campus, an incident was quietly brewing. The teacher expressed dissatisfaction with the unexpected events during the activity and questioned Yu Shubo’s organizational abilities.
He ordered Yu Shubo to submit a self-reflection. Yu Shubo had no choice but to comply, and he informed the manga club that as a consequence of the violation, all the recruitment forms would be invalid. At lunchtime, Su Yancheng thoughtfully ordered takeout for Bai Xiaoduo and even peeled a banana for her. Since Bai Xiaoduo was unable to take care of herself due to her injury, Su Yancheng carefully fed her.
At that moment, Qiao Rui arrived with a meal she had personally cooked. Seeing the situation, she kindly took over the task of feeding Bai Xiaoduo. Her cooking skills earned high praise from Bai Xiaoduo, far surpassing the takeout. After the meal, Qiao Rui handed Su Yancheng the notes she had organized for him, showing her meticulous care. Soon after, Xiao Yang and others arrived and began discussing the injustice of the student council.
Bai Xiaoduo felt angry and upset at the unfairness. Yu Shubo had intended to visit but overheard the conversation outside and felt a mix of emotions. In the end, he chose to leave quietly. Faced with the impending difficulties, Xiao Yang tried to console her, suggesting that even if the manga club ceased to exist, their friendship and dreams would still carry on. However, Bai Xiaoduo was not one to give up easily.
She remembered Blake’s words, believing that only those who truly make an effort are entitled to talk about giving up. She was convinced that the manga club meant more than just a club; it brought together all the souls who loved comics, and this power should not be underestimated. When she learned that Blake was about to release the third season, the entire team was energized. Bai Xiaoduo was especially excited and decided that they would try again, for the love and dream they all shared.
