Bai Xiaoduo was in the bathroom, overhearing two girls discussing her. This brought back memories from her middle school days when she was locked in the bathroom, making her feel extremely uncomfortable. Just then, Lin Xiaomiao and He Rui appeared and stood up for Bai Xiaoduo. Hearing her friends defend her, Bai Xiaoduo found the courage to no longer be afraid.
He Rui and Lin Xiaomiao told Bai Xiaoduo that Su Yancheng had found the person who posted the photo by reviewing the school’s surveillance footage. Bai Xiaoduo saw the message Su Yancheng had sent her and immediately went to find him. Su Yancheng gathered the manga club members and announced that he would promote someone to be the new vice president.
At first, Xiao Yang thought it would be him and even pretended he wasn’t interested, but when Su Yancheng announced that Bai Xiaoduo was the chosen one, Xiao Yang felt a bit awkward. After becoming the vice president, Bai Xiaoduo suggested creating a puzzle using Blake’s drawing of her and offered Blake’s manuscript as a reward. The college manga exchange event officially began. He Rui and Lin Xiaomiao created an opportunity for Bai Xiaoduo and Su Yancheng to be alone.
Just as Bai Xiaoduo and Su Yancheng were having a pleasant conversation, a few boys who had bullied Bai Xiaoduo in middle school appeared. Bai Xiaoduo became nervous and intentionally tried to avoid them. She wanted to be left alone for a while, but the boy who had once bullied her approached her. Seeing him made Bai Xiaoduo uneasy, and when the boy reached out to pat her shoulder, she instinctively flinched.
At that moment, Yu Shubo appeared and grabbed the boy’s hand, preventing it from touching Bai Xiaoduo and driving the boy away. Yu Shubo took Bai Xiaoduo to the manga club, but when Su Yancheng saw them together, he acted coldly. The manga exchange event began, but Bai Xiaoduo couldn’t focus, and Su Yancheng noticed this. However, the manuscript Yu Shubo threw away was picked up by the same boy who had once bullied Bai Xiaoduo. He Rui and Bai Xiaoduo went out for a meal and ran into the boy again. Upon seeing him, Bai Xiaoduo immediately became nervous. The boy even took out an old photo of Bai Xiaoduo from middle school when she was chubby and not very attractive. Bai Xiaoduo’s mood shifted to anxiety, and He Rui noticed her discomfort.
Annoyed by the boy’s harassment, He Rui scared him off. Su Yancheng also noticed that something was wrong with Bai Xiaoduo’s mood, and he thought of comforting her. Bai Xiaoduo worried that the boy’s appearance would bring up her past and cause people to think she was a liar and ignore her. She asked Su Yancheng if he would forgive her if he found out she had deceived him. Su Yancheng didn’t give a direct answer, but his response indicated that he wasn’t overly concerned.
