When Lin Ling and Zhang Wenwen were studying in the library, he couldn't hold back anymore and confessed his love in front of everyone. Zhang Wenwen looked down at the shiny diamond ring he had placed in her book, but still couldn't help but ask him to focus on studying first.
When Zhang Wenwen put on the ring, she found that it was even smaller than her own hand. She was hesitant about this relationship and directly told him that she only saw him as a friend and a younger brother. She then put down her textbook, reminded him to study, and left him alone, standing there at a loss.
After the final exam, Lin Ling and his good friend Wu Jinghao sat together drinking. He complained to Wu Jinghao about his unrequited love. Wu Jinghao told him that he was being delusional. Lin Ling then brought up the situation between Wu Jinghao and Han Fei. He said that Han Fei had been waiting for someone and Wu Jinghao was angry, thinking that Han Fei had intentionally led him on and then suddenly let go.
However, after hearing this, Lin Ling took Wu Jinghao's hand and wanted to take him to sit on the night bus to meet their destined ones. But Wu Jinghao was not interested and left alone.
Later, it started to rain lightly. Lin Ling covered himself with his hand and saw Zhang Wenwen getting off the bus on the other side. He realized that she was his destined one. He ran over to her and helped her with her luggage. As they were about to reach their destination, the rain stopped and Zhang Wenwen thanked Lin Ling for his help. She wanted to invite him to dinner to express her gratitude, but he told her seriously before leaving that his love for her was genuine and not just a joke.
On the other side, Wu Jinghao sat alone on the bus, following the route back. He sat in the back seat, lost in thought and feeling down. Soon, Han Fei got on the bus, but she acted as if she didn't know the person behind her and sat in the front without moving.
Neither of them spoke, so Wu Jinghao quickly took out his phone to call the person in front of him, but Han Fei hung up immediately when she heard the ringtone.
After getting off the bus, Han Fei prepared to leave, but Wu Jinghao caught up with her from behind. When Wu Jinghao found out that the person Han Fei was thinking about was not him, he burst into tears and ran away.
Back in the dormitory, the owner of the music store called Wu Jinghao to pick up his instrument. He sat alone by the river holding the instrument, reminiscing about the beautiful memories of meeting Han Fei.
After returning, Wu Jinghao ate strawberries and remembered the scene when Han Fei fed him strawberries.
On the other side, Han Fei was eating with her father at the dinner table, and her father was happily feeding her.
During the Chinese New Year, Lin Ling sat with his mother eating the New Year's Eve dinner. Unexpectedly, his mother also planned for him to go to school in the United States. Lin Ling was unhappy when he heard this. He expressed that he was very willing to study medicine, but his mother had always wanted to control his life. Lin Ling left in anger.
Afterwards, he and several good friends, including Wu Jinghao, returned to the campus where they had lived during high school. Passing by familiar things, Wu Jinghao remembered the past with Han Fei. He climbed a tree and found the wish bottle he had left behind, and in the letter, he saw his own secret. He ran to the roadside alone and hugged Han Fei when he saw her.
