Xia Yumeng takes her sunflower to school and sees a student who looks like Shen Mingxi. She follows him into the classroom and learns that he is a new student in the medical class, also named Shen Mingxi. Xia Yumeng sits next to Shen Mingxi, but he doesn't recognize her. Shen Mingxi thinks Xia Yumeng's behavior towards him is a sign of affection, but Xia Yumeng explains their complicated relationship. Shen Mingxi can't recall their past, and Xia Yumeng decides to move on.
Three years later, Xia Yumeng's father calls her to say that he has booked a hotel for her birthday celebration that night. Xia Yumeng sits at the dining table absentmindedly, still thinking about the missing alpaca. Xia Yumeng's father stands up to welcome his childhood friend, who Xia Yumeng discovers is Shen Mingxi.
