Da Mao was very enthusiastic towards Qin Li, admitting that everything that happened before was his fault. Qin Li said that the past is in the past and that he will definitely help with matters concerning demolition time and compensation. He told Da Mao not to worry.
Qin Li talked to Song Yifei about how Xiao Tao was bullied when she was young, and how Da Mao was the one who bullied her the most. He felt guilty for not protecting his sister, even if it meant getting beaten up. Song Yifei told him not to blame himself, as he was just a child at the time.
Song Yifei asked Qin Li if the person who followed them last time had reappeared. Qin Li said that he was just someone from the bidding company and hadn't appeared since the project ended. Qin Li asked if the person was following her, but Song Yifei said no, she was just worried and wanted to ask.
When Song Yifei, Song Yilan, and Song Yiqing met, Song Yilan got angry when talking about her brother-in-law, who refused to pick up the children. Song Yiqing said that she had checked and found out that Qin Li's company had two social events per week, one of which was only for members. She had gone to one before and the people there knew Qin Li, so she suggested that Song Yilan go to the next one.
Qin Li said that the company had a team-building event and asked Song Yifei to go with him. Song Yifei didn't want to go, and Qin Li asked if she was trying to embarrass him by not bringing a family member like everyone else.
