The aunties were gossiping about Su Shiyu and Lin Wei's relationship when Lin Wei happened to pass by. They quickly hushed, fearing that Lin Wei might overhear. When Su Shiyu woke up, she realized that Lin Wei was no longer at home. However, Lin Wei was surrounded by a group of aunties who spoke highly of Su Shiyu, urging him not to let her down. One auntie even found Su Shiyu and advised her to occasionally surprise Lin Wei and decorate their home. Su Shiyu took their advice, prepared the house, put on a red qipao, and set up candles, all in anticipation of Lin Wei's return.
When Lin Wei returned, Su Shiyu played music, and the two of them danced in the moonlight. Lin Wei held Su Shiyu in his arms, and their relationship took a step forward. Lin Wei expressed his intention to get to know Su Shiyu better.
The village aunties continued to discuss Su Shiyu and Lin Wei's relationship. Luo Feifei happened to hear and inquired about it. Upon learning that Su Shiyu and Lin Wei might soon have a wedding, Luo Feifei became restless. She called Shu Yue, informing him of the increasingly dangerous situation and her intention to quit her job. Shu Yue planned to find Su Shiyu and fight for their chance. Su Shiyu received a message from the aunties, believing that they were going to have a wedding. She asked them what she needed to prepare and promised to inform them.
Due to Su Shiyu wearing a red qipao the previous night, the Village Head mistook her for a female ghost and was scared away. He even announced on the radio the next morning that people should not go out at night. Su Shiyu and Lin Wei were about to go out on their first date when Luo Feifei insisted on joining them. Su Shiyu and Lin Wei reluctantly agreed, but Luo Feifei kept interfering, trying to prevent them from having any alone time. Even during a ring-toss game, there was competition between them.
However, Lin Wei cleverly used the ring-toss game as an opportunity to escape with Su Shiyu, leaving Luo Feifei behind. They coincidentally stumbled upon a water festival and got their clothes wet. They decided to buy clean clothes and change. Luo Feifei was left behind and became anxious. She continued to message Shu Yue, asking when he would return. Shu Yue assured her that he would return soon, but Luo Feifei remained determined to separate Su Shiyu and Lin Wei.
Luo Feifei had her own plans and called Lin Wei, telling him that Teacher Li wanted to see them. Lin Wei had no choice but to go alone, leaving Su Shiyu behind. Lin Wei introduced Su Shiyu as his girlfriend to Teacher Li. Lin Wei received a call from Mr. Cai, who threatened to cut off his funding because he hadn't agreed to Mr. Cai's demands. Lin Wei soon received a notice of debt from the bank, but he remained unwilling to compromise.
After the call, Lin Wei returned to find Su Shiyu learning to weave cloth. He had second thoughts about his decisions. Teacher Li noticed that Su Shiyu's hand was injured and helped her apply medicine. Teacher Li also mentioned Lin Wei's past difficulties and advised Su Shiyu to take good care of him, which she promised to do. That night, Lin Wei, in an effort not to burden Su Shiyu, suggested breaking up, which completely caught her off guard. Su Shiyu knew he must be facing some trouble and wanted to stand by him, but Lin Wei kept apologizing, which frustrated Su Shiyu, causing her to leave in anger.
