After Jin Xingchen returned, he discussed Su Shiyu's company with others. He mentioned that he planned to invest in Chen Xiangxiang's company, and Lin Wei's father reluctantly accepted it since Jin Xingchen was the one in charge now. Lin Wei's father had no choice but to inform Su Shiyu about this development. After all, Jin Xingchen was making the decisions now. Su Shiyu wanted to persuade Lin Wei's father to stay, but he could only leave in haste.
Su Shiyu returned to the company and found Shu Yue conducting interviews. Not wanting to discourage Shu Yue, she changed the topic, and they started looking for new opportunities together. Su Shiyu went to a restaurant for a taste test while Lin Wei was waiting for her to return. However, Luo Feifei approached Lin Wei and informed him that Su Shiyu wouldn't be coming back, showing him a live stream on her phone. Luo Feifei handed the phone to Lin Wei and suggested that he watch Su Shiyu's live stream himself. Although Lin Wei claimed he wasn't interested, he was secretly captivated. Su Shiyu accidentally spilled red wine on the borrowed clothes, which were very expensive. Shu Yue quickly helped her clean it, and Lin Wei, who was watching the video, felt uncomfortable. Shu Yue had to contact the brand to try and get a discount to purchase the clothes.
During Su Shiyu's live stream, she noticed there were flies on the dishes served. Despite needing the money, she had professional ethics and decided to end the live stream. However, the restaurant manager disagreed. Su Shiyu started speaking the truth, stating that their dishes were average, overpriced, and not fresh. She decided not to promote the restaurant anymore. The manager even demanded an apology and accused Su Shiyu's fans of being fake. Su Shiyu became very angry, and after Lin Wei refused to give them another chance, she became emotional and expressed her frustrations. This led to a dispute, and the live stream was interrupted.
Since Su Shiyu couldn't drive due to drinking, she had to call a driver. While waiting for the car, she apologized to Shu Yue. It seemed like the project had fallen through. However, Shu Yue wasn't angry and comforted Su Shiyu. At that moment, Lin Wei surprisingly arrived on an electric scooter. He not only came to pick them up but also called someone from the Market Supervision Bureau. Lin Wei then rode them home. Su Shiyu, accustomed to it, lay down on the bed and fell asleep. Shu Yue had no choice but to stay there for the night.
Su Shiyu woke up in the middle of the night and found Shu Yue sleeping on Lin Wei's bed. When she went outside, she saw Lin Wei sitting nearby, and she initiated a conversation. Lin Wei learned from Shu Yue that Su Shiyu would be leaving the mountain the next day. After all, the agreement between Su Shiyu and Lin Wei was no longer in effect, so there was no need for her to stay. Before leaving, Su Shiyu advised Lin Wei not to cling to the past and focus on the present and future. She hoped Lin Wei could move forward.
The next morning, Su Shiyu received a call informing her that Lin Wei's father wanted her to come to the company. Bai Ruan learned that Jin Xingchen had forcibly chosen Chen Xiangxiang's company and realized the nature of her relationship with Su Shiyu. Later, Chen Xiangxiang and Su Shiyu went to the meeting room. Su Shiyu and Jin Xingchen also arrived, and Chen Xiangxiang pretended to speak well of Su Shiyu while subtly criticizing her. Jin Xingchen didn't want Su Shiyu to be chosen, so he intentionally provoked her during the conversation. At that moment, Lin Wei unexpectedly arrived in a suit. He asked them to leave and mentioned that although there was a mistake in Su Shiyu's live stream the previous night, her quick apology had generated publicity for the company. However, Jin Xingchen was unwilling to compromise. Lin Wei's father also informed Su Shiyu about the competition, expressing his gratitude to Lin Wei for giving Su Shiyu a chance. He believed that Lin Wei must have feelings for Su Shiyu; otherwise, he wouldn't have come down from the mountain. He offered triple her current salary in exchange for regular reports on Su Shiyu and Lin Wei's situation.
