After entering the Zhenxin Hall, Zhang Yinyin discovered the celestial fox, Su Xuan, who had been sealed by the Demon-Sealing Stone. Zhang Yinyin finally recalled that when she was a child, she had been lured to the Zhenxin Hall by Su Xuan. Su Xuan had nurtured a demonic plant inside her body, which was the reason why the poison within her would act up every full moon. It was because of this poison that she had put in extra effort into her cultivation.

When Ji Ruochen searched for Zhang Yinyin in the Zhenxin Hall, he was suddenly confronted by Su Xuan, who was imprisoned in the underground palace of the Zhenxin Hall. Outside the Zhenxin Hall, Ji Ruochen promised to keep the secret of the demonic plant and then used fragments of the Demon-Sealing Stone, which had sealed Su Xuan, to make a bracelet. He placed it on Zhang Yinyin's wrist, hoping to use the power of the Demon-Sealing Stone to suppress the demonic poison within her. This was the true reason why he had fought desperately to approach Su Xuan within the Zhenxin Hall.

Soon after, the annual examination of the Xixuan Sect began. With the immense power he obtained from the disintegration technique, Ji Ruochen defeated one fellow disciple after another, finally proving his reputation as a pseudo-exiled immortal.
