Ai Qing knew that her sister was in danger, so she came to Ai Ning's doorstep. She originally thought it was Xu Yong who would open the door, but to her surprise, it was Ai Ning herself. Yang Yang was mature beyond his years and said that he could sacrifice his own happiness, but he didn't want his mother to suffer. After a medical examination, it was revealed that Ai Ning not only had visible injuries but also internal injuries. Ai Qing also wanted Ai Ning to leave Xu Yong as soon as possible, but Ai Ning explained that it wasn't that she didn't want a divorce; it was Xu Yong who refused to agree to it. Otherwise, he would use Yang Yang as a threat. Ai Ning also knew that Xu Yong had someone else outside their marriage. Ai Ning had confronted him about it before, which only led to more severe beatings.
