Xu Yong was wielding gasoline and splashing it around the house. He was already drunk and claimed that Ai Ning had deceived him. He even said that Ai Ning and Wang Chuanzong had feelings for each other. Ai Ning scolded Xu Yong for talking nonsense. Ai Qing tried to explain, but Xu Yong splashed gasoline towards them. Just then, Wang Chuanzong returned. Xu Yong aimed the gasoline at him and then even poured it on himself. He wanted everyone to die together.
Xu Yong said that even if he died, he would take everyone with him. Wang Chuanzong was extremely frightened and quickly prepared to escape. Xu Yong threw a lighter outside. Ai Ning and Ai Qing both tried to grab the lighter. Xu Yong accidentally fell to the ground, and the lighter dropped but fortunately Xu Yong managed to blow it out. In a moment of desperation, Ai Qing used a beer bottle to knock Xu Yong unconscious.
When Wang Chuanzong left, he intentionally locked the door, thinking that it would burn Ai Qing, Ai Ning, and Xu Yong to death, while he would receive a huge compensation. Wang Chuanzong happily went down the stairs but accidentally slipped and hit the back of his head on the stairs, causing blood to flow.
Due to the strong smell of gasoline, Ai Ning had difficulty breathing. Ai Ning and Ai Qing desperately tried to get out, but the door wouldn't open. Xu Yong was furious because of Tian Xin's betrayal and directly splashed sulfuric acid on her, causing disfigurement. Xu Yong was sentenced to imprisonment, and Ai Qing and Ai Ning left with their two children, starting a peaceful life.
