Lan Xiaoyu, in the guise of Chi Jingyu, went to investigate the mastermind behind the Qingluan Society. He followed the society's leader to the mountains and encountered a person dressed in golden robes. However, his presence was discovered, and he was quickly surrounded. Although Lan Xiaoyu had Chi Jingyu's internal strength, his martial arts skills were not up to par. After a fierce struggle, he was still injured by the opponent. Just when he thought he was about to die, Chi Jingyu arrived to rescue him.
Chi Jingyu brought Lan Xiaoyu to an abandoned house, where she was spitting blood and in critical condition. His internal strength was insufficient to force out the poison, and he became extremely anxious. At that moment, thunder and lightning filled the sky. Chi Jingyu remembered that their souls had swapped during a stormy night when they kissed. He kissed Lan Xiaoyu, and indeed, their bodies switched back.
However, Lan Xiaoyu didn't feel the joy she had expected upon regaining her body. She couldn't help but wonder if her fate with Chi Jingyu had come to an end. Chi Jingyu was about to leave, and Lan Xiaoyu couldn't believe that their connection would end like this. Feeling reluctant, she hugged Chi Jingyu and asked him, considering she had stayed in his body for so long, to grant her one request.
