Shen Huaijin asked Li Caiwei if what she said yesterday about liking him was true. Li Caiwei didn't know how to respond, honestly admitting that she was unclear about what she said yesterday due to being somewhat in a daze. Shen Huaijin immediately embraced her and, without a word, kissed her. Li Caiwei, surprised, opened her eyes wide. After the long kiss, Shen Huaijin asked her if she was sure. Li Caiwei hesitated and admitted that it was indeed a bit sudden.
Upon seeing Shen Huaibi continuously drinking, Liu Jingshu knew he was suffering internally. She advised Shen Huaibi to take care of his health. Shen Huaibi didn't say much, only asking Liu Jingshu to go back to rest.
Li Caiwei, in a joyful mood, walked over with a rose in hand. Upon encountering Shen Huaibi, both of them apologized to each other simultaneously. Shen Huaibi told Li Caiwei that his mother had returned to her grandfather's house, and he apologized on her behalf for what she had done. Li Caiwei hastily said that everything was in the past, and unlike the queen, he didn't need to apologize for her.
Liu Jingshu was about to leave. Shen Huaijin had already arranged everything for her and her mother. Li Caiwei thanked Liu Jingshu for her cooperation. Liu Jingshu, feeling apologetic, explained that she was worried about arousing suspicion from the queen, so she had no choice but to actually put medicine in the desserts. However, she added that it was fortunate she had done so because it made Li Caiwei understand her true feelings for Shen Huaijin. Liu Jingshu deeply bowed to the two, bid farewell, and left by carriage. They both knew that seeing each other again would not be easy.
