When Lin Yiyang and Yin Guo were having dinner together, Yin Guo asked if Lin Yiyang would come to watch her match, but Lin Yiyang hadn't confirmed the time yet. Yin Guo felt a little disappointed but didn't say much. As they were about to part ways, Yin Guo asked for Lin Yiyang's birthday. When she found out, she checked her calendar. Ironically, they had spoken on that day as Lin Yiyang had treated Yin Guo to noodles. This made Yin Guo feel a twinge of guilt for not acknowledging her boyfriend's birthday. Finally, as they were about to part, both felt reluctant to leave. Yin Guo reminded Lin Yiyang to take care of his health before leaving.

On the bus back, Lin Yiyang didn't deny the bus driver's joking remark about his frequent trips with his girlfriend. When Lin Yiyang returned to the billiards room, he found out that the players he had helped train were preparing for a competition. The room was now empty except for him, and Lin Yiyang felt lonely. Yin Guo, after training, sent a message to thank Lin Yiyang, stating that his training methods were effective and that she now understood her opponents better. When they found out they were both alone, they tried to video call each other but failed due to poor signal. In the end, they could only chat via WeChat.

Yin Guo shared her competition schedule with Lin Yiyang, hoping he would come to watch. This reminded Lin Yiyang of being expelled by his master in the past due to his superb skills and arrogance, which was why he had avoided competitions all these years.

Alone in the billiards room, Lin Yiyang vented his frustration through playing and messaging Yin Guo. Yin Guo's comforting words eased Lin Yiyang's mind. In the first stage of the competition, Yin Guo was grouped into a tough bracket, but she wasn't afraid as Lin Yiyang had trained her well.

Yin Guo came to practice at the billiards room, where Lin Lin greeted her and asked about Lin Yiyang. Yin Guo texted Lin Yiyang nationally to see his reaction. Upon knowing Yin Guo was practicing nearby, Lin Yiyang called Wu Wei, fearing that Yin Guo might feel overwhelmed. Wu Wei met Yin Guo and explained the situation. Yin Guo was happy to see Wu Wei, realizing Lin Yiyang had called him for help.

During the competition, Lin Yiyang couldn't watch in person due to time constraints but watched Yin Guo's matches through videos. Thanks to Lin Yiyang's training, Yin Guo performed exceptionally well and advanced to the top 16, receiving congratulations from everyone.

After the competition, while having dinner, Yin Guo found a secluded spot to video call Lin Yiyang, but to her surprise, Lin Yiyang appeared at the venue. Everyone was shocked, especially Lin Yiyang's senior, as Lin Yiyang hadn't attended competitions since being expelled. This indicated a change in Lin Yiyang.
