Jiang Yang took Lin Yiyang to Dongxincheng, which was where Lin Yiyang had once fought. Upon entering the training room, Lin Yiyang recalled his childhood memories, tears welling up in his eyes. When they arrived at the lounge, Lin Yiyang found a group of senior brothers already waiting there. Because the teacher's home was crowded, the students didn't want to cause trouble. After arranging everything, they left, waiting to visit the teacher again the next day.

As Yin Guo couldn't yet openly reveal her relationship with Lin Yiyang, she asked her brother, Meng Xiaodong, to help her retrieve her clothes from home. After getting the clothes, Yin Guo anxiously inquired about her family's situation. Meng Xiaodong reminded her that recently Lin Yiyang's teacher had been talking to Yin Guo's mother on the phone, so Yin Guo's mother, Wu Qian, had some suspicions and even asked Meng Xiaodong about it.

Meng Xiaodong and Yin Guo attended Mr. He's memorial service. When Yin Guo saw Lin Yiyang, she felt heartache. Jiang Yang solemnly announced at Mr. He's memorial service that Lin Yiyang would succeed in Dongxincheng. This news caused quite a stir, even making Yin Guo nervous, as she understood the weight of this responsibility. Lin Yiyang's shoulders would carry an even heavier burden from now on.

After the memorial service, Yin Guo originally intended to wait for Lin Yiyang, but her mother suddenly appeared, wanting to take her home. With her mother's approval, Yin Guo hurried to Lin Yiyang's car and returned to Dongxincheng with him. Because of overwhelming sadness and their argument, Lin Yiyang was exhausted and fell asleep with his head on Yin Guo's lap.

Yin Guo, understanding his fatigue, sat beside him quietly. Lin Yiyang woke up late, and by then, Yin Guo had fallen asleep leaning against the sofa's backrest. Lin Yiyang hesitated to scold Yin Guo, intending to cover her with a blanket, but suddenly Chen Anan knocked on the door, waking Yin Guo up.

Lin Yiyang and Yin Guo discussed touching matters. Lin Yiyang greatly admired Jiang Yang because at the beginning, Dongjingcheng wasn't as prosperous as it is now, and it was all created by Jiang Yang.

Furthermore, Jiang Yang's arm had been injured for a long time and needed surgery, but he delayed it because he had to take care of Dongxincun. Yin Guo asked Lin Yiyang why he suddenly decided to take over Dongxincheng. Lin Yiyang told her that their development philosophies differed, leading to disagreements. He had never planned to take over Dongjingcheng before, but this time, he gathered the courage to do so because of his teacher.

Lin Yiyang saw Yin Guo off, but she hesitated to get out of the car because she knew that Lin Yiyang would face many challenges and reforms after taking over Dongxin City. She deeply understood and knew that Lin Yiyang wouldn't be able to accompany her often in the future.

After returning home, Yin Guo's grandmother had been waiting for her to chat. Wu Qian and Meng Xiaodong were also discussing matters in the study upstairs. Lin Yiyang packed his bags, preparing to return to Dongxincheng. The former elders of Dongxincheng weren't worried about Lin Yiyang's arrival because of his different ideology, so they gathered to talk to him.
