After returning to Wu Wei's rented house, Lin Yiyang took the initiative to ask the landlord's opinion and even walked to the room where Yin Guo would be staying. He personally arranged the room for Yin Guo, moving many of Wu Wei's belongings into her room. Wu Wei invited Yin Guo and Meng Xiaotian to the Chinese restaurant they had been to before. Since the owner was familiar with Lin Yiyang, he offered them some complimentary food. Yin Guo realized Lin Yiyang was well-acquainted with the restaurant. Wu Wei also spoke highly of Lin Yiyang. Taking this opportunity, Yin Guo sent a message to Lin Yiyang. At first, Lin Yiyang's replies were too brief, which made Yin Guo a bit upset, but then Lin Yiyang explained he was in class, which cheered her up.

After class, two female students invited Lin Yiyang to dinner. Knowing their intentions, he politely declined. Wu Wei took Yin Guo to his room. After class, Lin Yiyang went to an underground billiard hall. It turned out he had been financially strained recently because he wanted to take over the billiard hall. During the game, Lin Yiyang proposed playing fast shots to train Yin Guo, knowing that there was a fast shot event in the women's competition. During their match, Lin Yiyang deliberately didn't show his full strength, which Yin Guo noticed. She insisted that he play seriously. Seeing Lin Yiyang's true skills, Yin Guo smiled calmly. After playing billiards, they decided to have dinner together. They both insisted on paying, but the owner kindly didn't charge them.

Yin Guo brought Lin Yiyang back to the rented house for dinner, but found no one home. Wu Wei had taken Meng Xiaotian out to give the two some private time. Lin Yiyang recognized Meng Xiaodong's voice. Yin Guo's grandmother wanted to thank the foreign student sharing the apartment with Yin Guo, but Lin Yiyang had already left.
