Lin Yiyang told his friend Wu Wei that Yin Guo’s brother is Meng Xiaodong. Wu Wei was shocked upon hearing this because everyone in the billiards community knew Meng Xiaodong's reputation. He thought that if Lin Yiyang ended up with Yin Guo, he would definitely have a hard time. However, Lin Yiyang still didn't want to give up on the idea of dating Yin Guo. They planned to go out together, and Lin Yiyang didn’t want to leave Yin Guo alone at home, so he brought her along. Yin Guo was surprised as she hadn't expected to be invited. When the four of them went out to eat, Wu Wei took Yin Guo's brother Meng Xiaotian away on purpose, leaving Lin Yiyang and Yin Guo alone together.

Lin Yiyang wasn’t very talkative. He wanted to start a conversation with Yin Guo but hesitated, making Yin Guo suspect that something big was on his mind. Finally, Lin Yiyang ended up inviting Yin Guo to have ice cream, which both delighted and surprised her. After eating, they went to an ice cream shop where Lin Yiyang was also acquainted with the owner. When Lin Yiyang stepped away, the owner came over and told Yin Guo that this was the first time Lin Yiyang had brought a girl for ice cream.

At the ice cream shop, Yin Guo tried to persuade Lin Yiyang to participate in professional competitions, but Lin Yiyang refused, citing poor mental resilience as his reason for not wanting to join world competitions. Yin Guo thought he was just making excuses and didn’t believe him. Lin Yiyang tried to order a bottle of wine, but the owner thought it might not be to a girl’s taste and tried to recommend another. Lin Yiyang, being straightforward, insisted on ordering what he wanted.

Wu Wei and Meng Xiaotian also came to the ice cream shop. Seeing the expensive wine Lin Yiyang ordered, Wu Wei was convinced that Lin Yiyang had feelings for Yin Guo because he usually ate cheap food himself. After they left the shop, Yin Guo needed to go home, and Lin Yiyang had already thoughtfully arranged a car for her, which made Yin Guo feel warm inside. Wu Wei, watching this, also felt a pang of empathy for Lin Yiyang.

While training Yin Guo in billiards, Lin Yiyang ordered her a coffee. When they handed the coffee to each other, their hands accidentally touched. Though they deliberately avoided it later, they exchanged smiles, showing their mutual affection. However, Lin Yiyang had to leave in a hurry, which disappointed Yin Guo. As he left, Yin Guo reminded him to stay safe.

People in the billiard hall who knew Lin Yiyang were curious about his relationship with Yin Guo and secretly observed them, assuming they were a couple. After Lin Yiyang left, Yin Guo focused on her training. At that moment, her coach called. Yin Guo asked the coach about Lin Yiyang and learned that he used to be a professional player and was even a disciple of a billiard master. However, his arrogance led to his expulsion, and he had since disappeared from the scene.

After training, Yin Guo went home and found her brother’s rival, Jiang Yang, there, which made her feel awkward. Jiang Yang knew Yin Guo was Meng Xiaodong’s sister and was surprised to learn about her connection with Lin Yiyang. To avoid the awkwardness, Yin Guo stayed in her room for a long time. When she thought everyone had left, she came out, only to find they were still there, including Lin Yiyang. Flustered, she grabbed some food and returned to her room. Lin Yiyang also went back to his room, and they started chatting via messages. They agreed to meet in the laundry room.
