After playing fencing with Gu Yanzhi, Lao Sui mentioned their previous vacation and thought Yan Mo seemed relaxed there. He wanted to arrange another date like that. When Gu Yanzhi heard that Lao Sui wanted to invite Song Ranran, he expressed reluctance, fearing it might lead to misunderstandings with Song Ranran. However, Lao Sui insisted, forcing Gu Yanzhi to agree. After Gu Yanzhi agreed, Lao Sui called Song Ranran, explaining the plan for another date. Upon hearing that it was Gu Yanzhi who wanted to invite her, Song Ranran immediately raised her voice, blaming Gu Yanzhi for not personally calling her and refused the invitation. After hanging up, she told Lu Feiyan about the situation, and Lu Feiyan, worried about Yan Mo, rushed to find her.
Due to Lu Feiyan's actions, Song Ranran quickly changed her attitude. She called Gu Yanzhi directly, using the pretext of the date to force him into acting with her in front of Yan Mo. Song Ranran, not understanding Lu Feiyan's words, just wanted to enjoy drinking, while Lu Feiyan feared Song Ranran getting drunk and took the drink away. When Lu Feiyan got drunk, Song Ranran carried him to her home. Lu Feiyan insisted Song Ranran stay, claiming he would accompany her. Song Ranran wanted to hear Lu Feiyan's drunken confession but was disappointed when he only called her a friend. She persisted in questioning Lu Feiyan and was relieved when she heard she was the most important person to him.
The next morning, Lu Feiyan found himself sleeping with Song Ranran, surprising himself. He asked Song Ranran about the previous night, and she vaguely mentioned Lu Feiyan holding onto her, making him think he did something wrong while drunk. Song Ranran didn't let Lu Feiyan escape, and he, feeling guilty for damaging the relationship between Song Ranran and Gu Yanzhi, blamed himself even more. Thinking that Lu Feiyan didn't confess to her due to Gu Yanzhi's presence, Song Ranran called Gu Yanzhi to her home to stage another breakup scene. Gu Yanzhi cooperated, and after Song Ranran claimed they only slept, Lu Feiyan anxiously explained the misunderstanding. Gu Yanzhi directly suggested breaking up, wishing them happiness. Lu Feiyan went to find Gu Yanzhi, wanting to explain further, but Gu Yanzhi said it was impossible between him and Song Ranran. Xiao O delivered a lot of fried chicken to Lao Sui, asking for help in finding investment for Gu Siyu. Lao Sui asked Xiao O about Yan Mo, and unexpectedly, Xiao O said something inexplicable about Yan Mo, suggesting he shouldn't be with Yan Mo. Lu Feiyan informed Yan Mo about the situation, asking her to explain things to Gu Yanzhi. In the pouring rain, Gu Yanzhi, unable to suppress his worry, ran out to give Yan Mo an umbrella. Lao Sui, seeing Gu Yanzhi giving Yan Mo an umbrella, questioned him unhappily, asking why he crossed the line and competed with him for Yan Mo. Gu Yanzhi repeatedly stated that he didn't compete for Yan Mo, but he couldn't deny that Yan Mo had entered his heart. Lao Sui, very angry at Gu Yanzhi's answer, punched him, worsening their relationship. After learning about the deteriorating relationship between Lao Sui and Gu Yanzhi, Wei Wei reported to Zhao Zong, and they planned to have someone kidnap Yan Mo.
