Shao Qimin saw Xuan Lie and Jun Qiluo together and deliberately mentioned that he would soon marry Jun Qiluo. Xuan Lie was heartbroken. She promised him that, with her, both money and a wife would come. Luo Qi became a long-term servant for the Jun family. Xuan Lie asked Luo Qi to help him get into the Jun household.

Luo Qi, knowing Xuan Lie’s intentions, brought him to the third miss, pretending that Xuan Lie was his fellow townsman and hoped that the Jun family would take him in. Luo Qi and Xuan Lie performed a little act in front of the third miss and had already prepared a contract. If they were dismissed without cause, the Jun family would have to pay a hundred gold.
