Jun Qiluo found Xuan Lie and was both surprised and overjoyed to see him safe and sound. Without hesitation, she ran toward him. Xuan Lie expressed his hope that they would no longer torment each other, and Jun Qiluo agreed. Meanwhile, Luo Qi also appeared at the Jun residence.

The Third Miss was shocked to see him, but since she had already learned of his true identity, she chased after him, trying to hit him to vent her frustration on behalf of Jun Qiluo. She believed he had played a role in harming the Jun family. Fortunately, Luo Qi was quick on his feet and managed to escape.

Seeing this, the Third Miss had no choice but to give up and immediately went to inform their father of the news. Jun Qiluo brought Xuan Lie home, but unexpectedly, Lord Jun and her two younger sisters caught them together. Lord Jun disapproved of their relationship and ordered Xuan Lie to leave the Jun family. Knowing that it was indeed inappropriate for him to be there, Xuan Lie had no choice but to leave for now.

However, Jun Qiluo firmly declared that she would stay by Xuan Lie’s side no matter what. After everything they had been through, her determination had only strengthened. As for the attack on her father at Chiyan Canyon, she believed there must have been some misunderstanding. Xuan Lie and Luo Qi returned to the place where Xuan Qingkou and He Jiyao were staying. Seeing them unharmed, He Jiyao was so overjoyed that he hugged them tightly.

Xuan Qingkou also returned, and Xuan Lie instructed her to return to Beixuan the next day. However, Xuan Qingkou refused and even revealed that she had spent the previous night in the same bed as Shao Qimin. This revelation shocked Xuan Lie. He knew that Xuan Qingkou had feelings for Shao Qimin, but he also understood that Shao Qimin did not love her in return.

Feeling heartbroken for his sister, Xuan Lie took Luo Qi and He Jiyao with him that night to confront Shao Qimin. He urged Shao Qimin not to let Xuan Qingkou down. However, Shao Qimin only had Jun Qiluo in his heart. Xuan Lie assured him that he would take care of Jun Qiluo himself and that Shao Qimin did not need to concern himself with her anymore. With that, he left.

The Third Miss was tasked with watching over Jun Qiluo to prevent her from leaving the house, per Lord Jun’s orders. Meanwhile, Xuan Lie devised a plan. Given the current situation, it was clear that Lord Jun would never approve of their relationship, so they needed to break through his resistance step by step. Xuan Lie decided to start with the straightforward and bold Third Miss, and the best person for this task was Luo Qi.

Xuan Lie told Luo Qi that if he failed, he should not bother coming back. Luo Qi turned Jun Qiluo and Xuan Lie’s story into a tale and sneaked into the Jun residence, hoping to show it to the Third Miss. Since he couldn't enter through the main gate, he had no choice but to crawl through a dog hole—only to find the Third Miss already waiting for him there.

Luckily, when he explained that he was delivering a storybook, he avoided a beating. After reading the story, the Third Miss was moved to tears. She realized how deeply Xuan Lie loved Jun Qiluo and agreed to let them meet. By this time, Xuan Lie had already made his way into Jun Qiluo’s room. Seeing Luo Qi’s injured hand, the Third Miss thoughtfully applied medicine to it. As Luo Qi watched her, his face unexpectedly turned red.

Just as he was about to leave, he ran into Lord Jun and the Second Miss. They all went to Jun Qiluo’s room together, where Jun Qiluo falsely claimed that Xuan Lie had not come to see her. Luo Qi explained that he had simply come to retrieve some leftover belongings and was now ready to leave. At the same time, the Prime Minister was unaware that he was in danger.

Shao Qimin, Xuan Lie, and Jun Qiluo were all investigating past events, and Shao Qimin was secretly looking into the anonymous letter. To reclaim the family business and the household seal, Jun Qiluo staged a dramatic scene in front of the junior shopkeepers, accusing the Second Branch of the Jun family of hiring assassins to kill Lord Jun and Jun Feifan. In order to protect his son, the Second Lord took all the blame upon himself.

Jun Qiluo refused to listen to any of their justifications and called in the authorities to take him away. Enraged, Jun Yujue grabbed a stool and attempted to strike Jun Qiluo, but Xuan Lie risked exposing his identity by stepping in to shield her. Jun Qiluo reassured the shopkeepers that the promised goods would be delivered on time, putting their concerns to rest. Xuan Lie then pulled Jun Qiluo into his arms.

Witnessing this, Lord Jun and the two younger misses of the Jun family started to waver in their stance. The Third Miss believed that Xuan Lie was someone worth entrusting Jun Qiluo to—his love for her was genuine. She also noticed that ever since Jun Qiluo had been with Xuan Lie, she had smiled more and seemed softer and happier. Lord Jun and the Second Miss found her reasoning convincing. Meanwhile, Luo Zhizhou was devastated upon learning of Consort Li’s passing.

To protect Consort Li and her child, he had already handed over the Luo family’s official seal to Xuan Xu, who had promised to ensure their safety. With no other choice, Dong Yin finally admitted that she had concealed Consort Li’s illness. As Luo Zhizhou stared at the unfinished kite in his hands, he was overcome with sorrow and grief.
