Falling Into Your Smile Episode 17 Recap
> Falling Into Your Smile Recap
Tong Yao called her best friend to talk about agreeing to Lu Sicheng’s request. As soon as Chen Jinyang heard it, she got excited like she was injected with adrenaline, her voice rising several decibels. The two started discussing, and the conversation drifted further and further off track. After hanging up, Tong Yao went downstairs and saw Lu Sicheng sleeping. She walked over and asked about his blind date. Hearing her voice, Lu Sicheng opened his eyes and responded.
After chatting for a bit, Tong Yao realized that the reason Lu Sicheng wasn’t leaving was because of her. Just as they were talking, the team manager, Xiao Rui, came over and interrupted their conversation. Taking the opportunity, Tong Yao quickly left. After sending Xiao Rui away, Lu Sicheng headed out for his meeting with Su Luo. On the way, he ran into Jiao Huang and the others.
Seeing Lu Sicheng, they immediately started teasing him about losing the solo match earlier. Lu Sicheng stubbornly tried to argue back, but the others called him out for being dishonest with himself. Unable to out-talk them, Lu Sicheng strode away. At the entrance of the base, Lu Sicheng coldly and directly made his feelings clear to Su Luo before decisively leaving. Even though Su Luo lowered her stance repeatedly, Lu Sicheng never wavered in his attitude.
Back at the base, the ZGDX team was still waiting for Lu Sicheng to return. As time passed and he didn’t come back, the complaints grew louder. Seeing this, Tong Yao took the chance to slip out and look for him. The two happened to run into each other outside the base. Lu Sicheng was briefly stunned upon seeing Tong Yao rushing toward him. After a brief conversation, he took Tong Yao to buy crayfish.
The two raced to the crayfish shop. When it came time to pay, the shop employee struck up a conversation with Lu Sicheng about Tong Yao. When the employee mentioned the way Tong Yao looked at him, Lu Sicheng’s lips curled into a smile, feeling secretly pleased. Carrying the crayfish to the store entrance, Lu Sicheng had to take a break due to an injury.
Seeing this, Tong Yao immediately snatched the bag from him and walked ahead toward the car alone. Watching her from behind, Lu Sicheng felt warm inside. Hearing Tong Yao call him, he quickly caught up and gave her a head pat. Tong Yao froze on the spot. On the way back, Tong Yao asked Lu Sicheng about the solo match. After chatting for a bit, she became slightly unhappy when Lu Sicheng said she wasn’t girly enough.
Noticing her change in expression, Lu Sicheng hurriedly corrected himself and gave her another sweet head pat. This time, instead of freezing, Tong Yao grinned happily. She seemed to have something on her mind that she wanted to tell Lu Sicheng, but every time she was about to speak, she hesitated. Seeing her nervousness, Lu Sicheng turned on some music to help her relax. Back at the base, the two brought crayfish for their teammates. Everyone gathered to eat together.
Xiao Pang even started a livestream to share the feast with fans. Meanwhile, Tong Yao noticed that Lu Sicheng hadn’t touched any crayfish. She picked one up and handed it to him, but instead of taking it with his hands, Lu Sicheng directly bit into it. The watching teammates immediately started teasing them in hushed voices. Just as Lu Sicheng and Tong Yao began bickering, Xiao Rui came over to call Lu Sicheng for a discussion.
After a brief talk, Lu Sicheng agreed to attend a convention. The next morning, the ZGDX team flew to the event location. Xiao Rui thoughtfully brought breakfast for everyone. Just as they were happily eating, a group of fans suddenly rushed in, asking for autographs. Lu Sicheng and Tong Yao didn’t want to seem impolite, so they agreed. However, it turned out to be a setup—one fan repeatedly asked different members of ZGDX for autographs.
Recognizing the trick, Tong Yao called Xiao Rui over to report it. Xiao Rui immediately asked the fan to leave. Feeling rejected, the fan posted the incident online, and soon, rumors spread that Tong Yao was arrogant and difficult. At the same time, the team realized that some of the scheduled event activities seemed unreasonable and started questioning them. However, the event organizer, who had just been turned away, wasn’t happy.
Not only did they refuse to make changes, but they also started making sarcastic remarks. Unable to tolerate it any longer, tensions escalated, and a conflict broke out. Frustrated, Tong Yao couldn’t hold back and ended up in a shoving match with the event organizer. Finally, Lu Sicheng stepped in to put an end to the situation. Due to the incident, Tong Yao was left alone in the dressing room.
The more she thought about it, the more wronged she felt, and she eventually started crying. Meanwhile, at the event venue, as the teammates continued their matches, Lu Sicheng secretly recorded some clips on his phone. On the other side, the female organizer exaggerated the situation during a livestream, causing clueless internet users to start attacking Tong Yao online. As the issue escalated, the board of directors summoned Tong Yao for a meeting.
To everyone’s surprise, the chairman, Wang Dong, turned out to be Lu Sicheng’s biological mother. As soon as she arrived at the office, she immediately issued a penalty against Xiao Rui. Just then, Lu Sicheng received the news and rushed in. The mother and son’s reunion wasn’t particularly harmonious. After some negotiation among the team, they ultimately decided to punish Tong Yao with a one-match suspension. Afterward, Lu Sicheng stayed behind to discuss the matter privately with his mother.
