Falling Into Your Smile Episode 9 Recap
> Falling Into Your Smile Recap
ZGDX members soon arrived at the photoshoot location. The makeup artists began working on everyone, but since Tong Yao was the only girl, her makeup took longer. The other teammates went ahead with their individual shoots first. Before they knew it, the team was almost done with their final look photos, yet Tong Yao was still nowhere to be seen. Xiao Rui decided to send Lu Sicheng to urge her along.
Lu Sicheng pushed open the dressing room door, only to walk in on Tong Yao changing. The two froze in an awkward stare before Lu Sicheng quickly backed out. His face flushed, his heart pounding, he hurriedly popped a candy into his mouth to calm down. At that moment, Lu Yue, noticing the two had been gone for too long, came over to check, only to be sent away by Lu Sicheng.
When Tong Yao finally emerged, she confronted Lu Sicheng, demanding an explanation. To her surprise, this time, Lu Sicheng actually apologized—a rare occurrence. Tong Yao stepped into the studio for her shoot. Xiao Rui suggested taking some group photos with her, starting with Lu Yue. Lu Sicheng followed next, but due to the height difference, the studio had to bring in a stool.
As the two posed for the camera, the rest of the team watched, and Lao Mao couldn’t help but comment that it looked like a wedding photoshoot. Hearing this, both Lu Sicheng and Tong Yao visibly tensed up. After the shoot, everyone returned to the base to resume training. The team started discussing the final photos, with opinions flying around. Just then, Lu Sicheng appeared and confronted Xiao Rui. The reason?
Lu Sicheng’s mother had seen the pictures and mistakenly thought that both of her sons were marrying the same girl. Upon hearing this, Lu Yue quickly called his mother to explain, but his poor choice of words only earned him a pillow attack from his eldest brother. That night, Tong Yao had a casual chat with her best friend, Chen Jinyang. Chen Jinyang bombarded her with gossip about Lu Sicheng while also complaining about her own boyfriend.
As they were deep in conversation, Tong Yao received a message from Lu Sicheng, prompting her to rush downstairs for training. However, at the stairway, she tripped and tumbled down. The team quickly gathered around to check on her. Lu Sicheng frowned deeply as he looked at her, then immediately pointed at his younger brother and scolded him. After seeing her friend off, Tong Yao returned to her room and started arguing with Lu Sicheng about the notes he had left.
Suddenly, Lu Sicheng leaned in close, bringing his face near her ear. Startled, Tong Yao instinctively retreated, gripping the sofa tightly. With his trick succeeding, Lu Sicheng smugly resumed teasing her. That night, Tong Yao had a strange dream. In it, she and Lu Sicheng had turned into rabbits. Lu Sicheng kept chasing her before finally pinning her down and repeating the same flirtatious words he had said earlier.
Jolted awake from the dream, Tong Yao glanced at the stuffed toy beside her bed and immediately thought of Lu Sicheng. It seemed she was completely bewitched by him. Meanwhile, ZGDX was preparing for practice. Xiao Rui and Yu Ming suddenly announced that they would soon have a practice match against Team YQCB. They also decided that Tong Yao would be the starting mid-laner.
Dissatisfied, Lu Yue stood up to protest, but after being shut down by his brother Lu Sicheng, he reluctantly sat back down. The match began. YQCB’s new bot laner was clearly well-prepared, coordinating with their mid-laner to repeatedly ambush Lu Sicheng. After reviving, Lu Sicheng led Xiao Pang in a counterattack down the bot lane. The battle was intense, with both sides exchanging blows, but in the end, Lu Sicheng made a decisive move and took down the opponent.
ZGDX continued to make plays, winning several small skirmishes in a row. Their teamwork was seamless, and in a thrilling finish, they narrowly defeated YQCB. However, while the rest of the team celebrated their victory, Lu Sicheng remained calm and simply stated, “Jiao Huang is coming,” before standing up and leaving. Curious, Tong Yao started asking around about the history between Lu Sicheng and Jiao Huang.
Meanwhile, alone in his room, Lu Sicheng fiddled with a Rubik’s Cube, lost in memories of his early professional days in Korea, recalling the first time he had ever faced Jiao Huang.
