Fang Xiaoxiao intentionally belittled An Mei in front of Zhu Zhenjun, causing her to work overtime. Zhu Zhenjun counter-questioned Director Fang if the Art Department only consisted of An Mei alone. He wondered why all the tasks were assigned to her. An Mei stated that she willingly volunteered for overtime. Zhu Zhenjun announced a company outing tonight and insisted everyone's attendance. He treated everyone to have fun, yet An Mei sat alone playing on her phone. Zhu Zhenjun and An Mei had a private drink, which triggered Fang Xiaoxiao's jealousy.
Nai Nai brought a birthday cake to celebrate Lu Ting's birthday. She mentioned locating this place based on his car's location. An Mei intended to go to the restroom but felt dizzy from drinking too much. Fang Xiaoxiao approached and advised An Mei to go back and rest. An Mei lashed out, calling Fang Xiaoxiao an old witch, accusing her of causing harm without any kindness.
In her drunken state, An Mei pushed down Fang Xiaoxiao. In retaliation, Fang Xiaoxiao accidentally spilled alcohol on Zhu Zhenjun. He voluntarily escorted An Mei home. Nai Nai expressed surprise at not being able to contact him for so long, only to find out he was hiding with An Mei. She took the chance to badmouth An Mei, labeling her as a shameful third party. Lu Ting warned Nai Nai to watch her words and her role.
Nai Nai always believed that she and Lu Ting were the most compatible couple. Seeing Lu Ting's strong aversion, she had self-awareness and offered him tea. She nonchalantly prepared tea for Lu Ting while secretly plotting something in her mind.
