Even though this was her inherent job, she loved him nonetheless. Lu Ting acknowledged that Nai Nai had done her job well and he trusted her, but this wasn't love. Nai Nai knew well that it was love, all because of An Mei's appearance.
Lu Ting said her role was his assistant. Nai Nai didn't understand why she was assigned that role, but she believed that pursuing him was the only way to feel happiness. So, she wanted to be with Lu Ting always.
Zhu Zhenjun escorted An Mei home and gently took care of her, giving her water. An Mei held onto Zhu Zhenjun's hand and called out Lu Ting's name. She liked him for his handsomeness and for being the only person in the world who listened to her thoughts. Only those who had experienced loneliness could understand. Lu Ting agreed with Nai Nai's viewpoint. True love was about shining light on each other and being there for each other. It was that kind of love that's held in the palm of one's hand, afraid it might melt away, making a person lose control. An Mei not only illuminated him but also made him feel warmth.
Zhu Zhenjun touched An Mei's head and asked if there was someone in the real world who would be willing to do all this for her, would she accept it? An Mei agreed, yet still called out Lu Ting's name. Lu Ting promised to find An Mei, even if it was risky. Nai Nai reluctantly untied him and let him go. In An Mei's room, Zhu Zhenjun found her pajamas, the very one with the server code left on it.
