Synopsis
After years of hard work, the accomplished high school teacher Gu Xiaomeng and her designer husband Lv Xiang finally purchased their own modest home. However, their joyous occasion turns complicated when Lv Xiang's parents visit from Beijing under the guise of a vacation, actually to seek medical treatment. Simultaneously, Gu Xiaomeng's constantly troublesome mother, Liu Meiqin, and her brother, Gu Xiaosong, arrive from Suzhou.
Gu Xiaosong, repeatedly deceived by agencies in his quest to study abroad, sells the family's ancestral home, leaving Liu Meiqin in Gu Xiaomeng's care. With the stage set for familial chaos, Gu Xiaomeng learns she is pregnant, launching the couple into a tumultuous life of caring for both elders and children. Amidst the challenges of life and career, their determination to protect their love and family provides them with the strength to overcome obstacles, as they tirelessly strive towards their ideal life.
