In order to make Tang Qi believe it, Fang Jin specifically arranged for a private hospital, where Su Chengcheng posed as a psychologist. Pretending to undergo treatment, she acted as if she had completely eliminated the personality that Tang Qi was fond of. Tang Qi was even invited to accompany the process. When Tang Qi saw Fang Jin walk out and claim to be cured, he felt deeply disappointed.

This meant that the version of Fang Jin he loved had completely disappeared. After Fang Jin and the others left, Tang Qi stood alone outside the hospital room, unable to let go of his emotions. Seeing how heartbroken Fang Jin was, Su Chengcheng also felt a tinge of guilt. After leaving the hospital, Tang Qi walked along the seaside, reminiscing about all the moments he had shared with the Fang Jin he loved.

Every expression and movement of hers replayed in his mind, but now, she was gone. Heartbroken, Tang Qi wandered through the crowd when he suddenly spotted a familiar silhouette. Unable to control himself, he chased after it, but after a short pursuit, the figure vanished. Overwhelmed by sorrow, Tang Qi's vision suddenly worsened—he could no longer see colors. The world around him became like an old black-and-white television. Panic-stricken, he was unaware of an oncoming car.

Just as he was about to be hit, a hand pulled him back—it was Su Chengcheng who had saved him. However, to Tang Qi’s surprise, even though everything else appeared in black and white, Su Chengcheng was the only thing he could still see in color. As heavy rain poured down from the sky, Tang Qi found himself unable to distinguish traffic lights due to his color blindness.

Standing at the crosswalk, unsure when it was safe to proceed, he suddenly saw a flashing image—it was Su Chengcheng. She took his hand and guided him across the street. Su Chengcheng, worried about Tang Qi, took him home. However, upon arrival, she noticed that something was off about him. When they reached his doorstep, she intended to leave, but unexpectedly, Tang Qi invited her in.

Su Chengcheng was caught off guard—previously, whenever she wanted to enter, Tang Qi had firmly refused. She suddenly sensed that something was wrong and suspected that his vision had deteriorated. During dinner, she watched Tang Qi cook without any difficulty, which made her realize that the problem might not be with his eyesight but with his ability to perceive colors. However, since Tang Qi deliberately acted as if nothing was wrong, Su Chengcheng began to doubt herself.

But during the meal, she noticed something strange—Tang Qi kept mirroring her every move. Whatever she ate, he ate as well. Lin Yuan was preparing to attend a gathering hosted by an editor. However, among the editor’s acquaintances was a writer whom Lin Yuan had a long-standing rivalry with. Every time they met, they clashed, so Lin Yuan was contemplating how to outshine her opponent. Hearing about her troubles, Gu Yu took Lin Yuan to an aquarium.

Using the kissing fish as an example, he encouraged her to relax and not take things too seriously. Su Chengcheng called Lin Yuan, saying she had been caught in the rain and was feeling unwell, asking her to come pick her up. At the same time, Tang Qi also called Gu Yu. As a result, both Lin Yuan and Gu Yu ended up heading to Tang Qi’s house together. Due to an accident, Su Chengcheng had dirtied Tang Qi’s clothes.

Feeling guilty, she wanted to take them home to wash, but before she could say anything, Tang Qi simply tossed them into the washing machine without a word. When Su Chengcheng learned that Lin Yuan and Gu Yu were together, she curiously asked when they had become so close. Lin Yuan quickly changed the subject, questioning why Su Chengcheng hadn’t kept her distance from Tang Qi and had instead ended up at his house.

In response, Su Chengcheng confided in Lin Yuan, revealing her fear that Tang Qi might attempt suicide. The next day, Tang Qi went to the hospital for an eye examination. However, after a thorough checkup, the doctors found no physical issues with his vision. They suspected that his condition was due to extreme psychological stress and recommended psychological therapy. Tang Qi told the doctor that there was one person he could still see in color.

The doctor speculated that this might be a subconscious response, or perhaps that person was the key to restoring Tang Qi’s ability to see colors again.
