Tang Qi returned and told Gu Yu that he had found a way to restore his eyesight. However, it required physical contact with Su Chengcheng—meaning he had to embrace her for his vision to recover. Gu Yu initially thought that since they had found a way to restore Tang Qi’s eyesight, they could continue using the same method. However, Su Chengcheng refused, and Tang Qi had no way of forcing her into his arms.
At this point, Gu Yu suggested that there was another person who might work. Tang Qi immediately knew he was referring to Quan Shengtang. Feeling a bit awkward, Tang Qi thought that even if he agreed, Quan Shengtang might not. Meanwhile, Su Chengcheng finally came up with a plan that could appeal to different age groups: hosting a traditional costume garden fair as a promotional event. The idea gained approval from everyone.
However, implementing the plan required finding a well-known artist in the industry, which led everyone’s eyes to Lin Yuan. It turned out that this plan had come about due to Gu Yu’s investment and his intentional suggestions—he wanted Lin Yuan to collaborate with Qianniao Ji, creating more opportunities for them to interact. Lin Yuan went to Qianniao Ji to sign the contract.
Due to her trusting nature and belief in Gu Yu, she didn’t pay much attention to the contract details. Seeing this, Gu Yu reminded her to always read contracts carefully and never trust others too easily, as contracts could be altered even after being reviewed. He also told her that if she ever needed help reviewing contracts in the future, she could ask him.
After signing, Lin Yuan realized that Quan Shengtang would also be participating and that Su Chengcheng would be handling the coordination. By then, it was too late for her to back out. Upon arriving at the event venue, due to a shortage of rooms, each room had to be shared by two people. Quan Shengtang was assigned to share a room with Gu Yu.
Having no other choice, Su Chengcheng had to continue switching between her two identities to deal with everyone. Seeing how busy Su Chengcheng was and how much she had to sacrifice, Lin Yuan felt guilty, blaming herself for not reading the contract carefully. Disguised as Quan Shengtang, Su Chengcheng entered the assigned room. Thinking there was no one inside since the lights were off, she didn’t expect Tang Qi to suddenly come out after taking a shower.
Quan Shengtang found it odd that Tang Qi could move around so freely in the dark, so he turned on the light—only to see Tang Qi struggling to see clearly. Noticing something was wrong with Tang Qi’s eyes, Quan Shengtang decided to look up possible explanations online. Su Chengcheng suspected that Tang Qi might be colorblind and decided to test him using fruit. However, when she picked up a piece of fruit to eat, Tang Qi suddenly saw its color.
Su Chengcheng quickly realized that while Tang Qi couldn’t distinguish the colors of the fruit on the plate, he could see the color of the one she was eating. To avoid raising suspicion, Su Chengcheng decided to stay in Tang Qi’s room for the night to observe his eyesight more closely. That night, Gu Yu took a flashlight and went out to admire the traditional paintings. Lin Yuan happened to be outside as well and ran into him.
They discovered that Su Chengcheng’s artwork had been mistakenly placed in the wrong spot by the workshop. Gu Yu quickly informed the staff to correct the mistake, while Lin Yuan took the opportunity to ask Gu Yu about Tang Qi’s vision. Xu Yue overheard that something was wrong with Tang Qi’s eyesight and decided to use this information as leverage to join Qianniao Ji’s rival company, Vandai.
Later that night, while drinking beer together, Quan Shengtang casually mentioned things that reminded Tang Qi of his encounters with Su Chengcheng—even recalling moments when she had disguised herself as someone else. Early the next morning, Su Chengcheng quietly returned to Lin Yuan’s room. From Lin Yuan, she learned that Tang Qi’s vision problem wasn’t physiological but psychological. To prevent Tang Qi from exposing himself, Su Chengcheng wrote color labels on pieces of paper and attached them to his clothes.
As the garden fair officially began, Tang Qi and Manager Zhou watched the lively event unfold and were very pleased. Suddenly, Manager Zhou noticed that Vandai’s newly appointed marketing director, Tan Yu, had also arrived at the event. Upon meeting, Tan Yu immediately proposed that Tang Qi design a bold, colorful lipstick. Tang Qi realized this might be a test and instead suggested pairing the request with a suitable color-coordinated outfit.
