Lin Yuan was shopping for outdoor adventure gear at the supermarket when she accidentally slipped into a shopping cart. The cart slid and knocked over a neatly arranged stack of candy. The supermarket employee, seeing this, grew worried, fearing that the damaged candy would affect sales. Lin Yuan, noticing the employee's concern, generously offered to buy all the damaged candy to ease the employee's worries. Just then, Gu Yu happened to be in the supermarket.
He quickly noticed Lin Yuan's predicament, and without hesitation, he took off his jacket and gently handed it to her to cover her torn pants, showing his gentlemanly demeanor and warming Lin Yuan’s heart. Lin Yuan returned home with all her purchases and displayed them to Su Qingli and Su Chengcheng. Su Qingli urged Su Chengcheng to hurry up and avoid any further complications.
Su Chengcheng understood and promised to finish the task quickly, making sure Tang Qi wouldn’t be troubled in the process. Meanwhile, Tang Qi, waiting anxiously, felt some relief when Su Chengcheng finally appeared. He admitted that the location was remote, the environment was desolate, and at first, he thought it was all a prank. Su Chengcheng brought fireworks with her and suggested that they enjoy a romantic moment together.
Although the daylight made it hard to see the fireworks properly, Tang Qi still agreed to her suggestion. As they lit the fireworks, Su Chengcheng used the bracelet to summon a spider, almost like magic. Tang Qi, startled, immediately swatted at it, relieved that the spider didn’t cause any harm. Su Chengcheng, feeling embarrassed, thanked Tang Qi for acting so quickly and explained that the spider was highly venomous.
A bite to the hand might be survivable, but a bite to the neck could be fatal. Su Chengcheng, enjoying herself, was reluctant to end the pleasant evening. Tang Qi noticed her sneezing lightly and hurriedly took off his jacket to keep her warm, reminding her to dress warmly if they were to stay out longer. However, Su Chengcheng confidently shook her head, saying she was in great health.
She then excitedly pointed to the sky, claiming to have seen a shooting star, although Tang Qi thought it was just a distant firework. But secretly, Su Chengcheng activated the magic of the bracelet and summoned a real shooting star. Tang Qi, reacting quickly, picked her up and rolled on the ground, skillfully avoiding any potential danger.
Afterward, Su Chengcheng felt guilty, realizing that her intention was to simulate the unfortunate events that had happened to Su Miao, but the outcome had been completely different. The sky suddenly darkened, and thunder rumbled. Su Chengcheng still didn’t want to leave and asked Tang Qi to take some photos to remember the moment. After several photos were taken, a lightning bolt struck the sky and hit Su Chengcheng.
Though it only temporarily blackened her face, it was enough to send Tang Qi into a panic. Once he regained his composure, he found that Su Chengcheng was unharmed, but he had fainted from the shock. After waking up in the hospital, Tang Qi was told that his eyes were more sensitive than normal, and he needed to take extra care to protect them.
Tang Qi, frantic to see Su Miao, was stopped by Gu Yu and others and learned that Su Miao had passed away. This devastating news left him in shock, unable to accept the truth. Gu Yu suggested going to the memorial, and Su Chengcheng had to hold back her sorrow while preparing for the funeral. At the memorial, Tang Qi attended with deep self-blame, regretting that he hadn’t protected Su Miao from danger in time.
Su Chengcheng learned that Tang Qi had taken leave from work and wondered why. Her colleagues speculated that Tang Qi might be seriously ill, as he was always diligent and had never missed work before. Su Chengcheng felt guilty, and Lin Yuan comforted her, suggesting that Su Miao’s death might be a kind of release for Su Chengcheng.
At the memorial, people drank to drown their sorrows, while Tang Qi went alone to the restaurant that Su Miao used to frequent. He forced himself to eat food he didn’t like, as a way to say goodbye to the past. Gu Yu came to find Lin Yuan, hoping to obtain Su Miao’s belongings, only to learn they had been burned.
However, to his surprise, some props used during filming had not been destroyed due to an oversight by the staff and had been sent to Tang Qi. Su Chengcheng was frantic, worried that the fingerprints on those items might reveal her true identity.
