Back at home, Xu Qin messaged Song Yan to inquire about his injuries. Song Yan replied that he was much better and asked her to take care. He also invited her to meet up. Xu Qin chased after him downstairs but couldn't find him. Her eyes turned red with tears. Suddenly, Song Yan appeared behind her and confessed his feelings, hoping they could be together. Xu Qin asked if he still liked her, and Song Yan replied that even if ten years had passed and her preferences and personality had changed, he still liked her. Xu Qin lowered her head, and Song Yan told her to think about it carefully and find him when she's decided. Xu Qin grew anxious, rushed forward, and hugged Song Yan, agreeing to be with him. They officially became a couple that day.

At the fire station, a colleague had been running, and Jiang Yu and others noticed him. Jiang Yu said it was trauma stress disorder and could only be resolved through companionship and time.

At home, Xu Qin embraced Song Yan from behind as they watched the snow. Song Yan urged her to go to work, and they had breakfast together. Xu Qin asked if he would get bored being alone at home. Song Yan replied that he would meet Li Gong in the afternoon. As they took the elevator downstairs, Xu Qin suddenly asked Song Yan if Li Gong liked him. Song Yan said no. At the fire station, two colleagues asked Xiao Ge to eat, but he said he wasn't hungry and lay on the table. They left, and another colleague comforted him, suggesting that sharing his troubles might help.

Li Gong was giving a lecture to the firefighters about trauma stress disorder when Jiang Yu asked a question about how to resolve the condition. Li Gong answered him and then announced a ten-minute break for the lecture.

At the hospital's commendation ceremony, the leadership invited Xu Qin to speak. She humbly said she was also a survivor and shared how she had intended to leave a patient who had stopped breathing to help others. However, a firefighter who dug out the patient discovered that she was a pregnant woman, and only then was Xu Qin able to save the baby, preventing a major work mistake. Everyone was deeply moved by her story.

Li Gong returned to the stage and found a note added. There was also a full water bottle. The note reminded her to take care of herself.

Director Xu called Xu Qin into his office and presented her with a medal as a memento, encouraging her to continue working hard. Xu Qin admired the medal when she wore it on her chest.
