Ye Ran was furious after reading An Hui Xiang's will. He believed that she didn't consider his and his mother's feelings and left 80% of the inheritance to An Xiner, while they only got 20%. Aunt Fang was very angry at his attitude and slapped him. Ye Ran then turned to Ling Zhi for support. An Xiner ignored this matter, as she had never intended to fight for her aunt's inheritance. Once her own issues were resolved and Ling Zhi and others were brought to justice, she planned to return all the property to Aunt Fang and Ye Ran. However, she realized it was too late to say that now. Ye Ran became the vice president of Ling Zhi's company, as Ling Zhi gave him an irresistible contract to be in charge of a new project. An Xiner's true identity was also exposed.
Ji Fanyi had already noticed that Ye Ran was behaving strangely. He believed that Ye Ran might do something unfavorable to An Xiner for his own benefit. Yu Sheng had taken An Xiner to visit Li Xinyi's mother, but upon receiving Ji Fanyi's call, he rushed back. Yu Jiao gave the flower basket to Li Xinyi, but Li Xinyi's mother suddenly fell ill and needed urgent surgery. In the fruit basket, there was a bank card that Yu Jiao handed to Li Xinyi, who immediately went to pay the medical expenses to have her mother undergo surgery. Earlier, Ji Fanyi had taken Yu Jiao to the aquarium, where she was only interested in the performing mermaids.
