Wang Youming came to meet Ling Zhi with his computer and handed in his resignation letter. He looked troubled and expressed that he wanted to return to his hometown with Li Xinyi to handle Li's mother's affairs and then develop there. Ling Zhi was somewhat caught off guard but quickly thought about the impact of Wang Youming's departure on himself. He pretended to be very reluctant, calling Wang Youming his right-hand man. However, since he had made this decision, he couldn't stop him, even if he tried to block him.
Ling Zhi tried to get Wang Youming's secret by reminiscing about their first meeting. Wang Youming had come for an interview but was turned away by An Xiner's father due to his fake education background. He begged for a job from An's father, willing to do anything, but An's father didn't trust someone who faked credentials. In the end, Ling Zhi took him in, and Wang Youming was very grateful for Ling Zhi's kindness. He had been dedicated to the company all these years as a way to repay Ling Zhi's favor. Before parting, Wang Youming opened his computer and showed Ling Zhi the video of him killing Shang Zhan. Then, he deleted the video in front of him, considering it as his repayment to Ling Zhi. Ling Zhi was shocked and asked if anyone else had seen the video. After hearing Wang Youming's uncertain response, he felt somewhat relieved.
Wang Youming left, but Ling Zhi had a worried expression. Xia La saw this and came over to ask. Xia La felt that since Wang Youming had such an important video, if he had any ill intentions, the police would have already come after him. It showed that Wang Youming was loyal. However, Ling Zhi only trusted the dead, believing that no one could be trusted completely. Wang Youming returned home, feeling a bit low. He embraced Li Xinyi and suggested leaving immediately. Li Xinyi had a meeting scheduled with An Xiner, but Wang Youming insisted on leaving, so she had to pack up and follow him back to their hometown.
An Xiner didn't meet Li Xinyi and speculated that she might have encountered something. She had heard about their plan to return to their hometown and presumed they had already left. Considering Ling Zhi's cunning, she worried that he wouldn't let them go easily. So, she decided to split up with Yu Sheng to pursue Wang Youming and Li Xinyi. An Xiner and Yu Sheng took the small road, while Ji Fanyi and An Tianmin took the highway. On the way, Li Xinyi had a bad feeling and noticed a car following them closely. Feeling even more nervous, Wang Youming tried to give way to the car behind, but it refused to pass and kept tailing them. Seeing this, Wang Youming became anxious. When they approached the service area, he planned to rest there for the night. But just as they were about to enter the service area, the car behind them pushed their car off the cliff. In that moment, Li Xinyi saw the face of the driver of the car, and it was Xia La's brother, A Lang.
An Xiner and Yu Sheng didn't find Wang Youming and Li Xinyi, but they found the car that had run the red light before. They got off the car to check and found it empty. As they turned to look elsewhere, someone got into the car and rammed into their car, destroying it. Ji Fanyi received a call from An Xiner and concluded that all of this was Ling Zhi's doing. He decided to intercept the car and confronted A Lang on a narrow road. They went head-on, and A Lang had to stop. Ji Fanyi intended to use this approach to stop A Lang. If A Lang didn't harm Wang Youming, he would keep him until the police arrived.
Li Xinyi was not seriously injured, but Wang Youming was badly hurt. Li Xinyi struggled to get him out of the car before it exploded. She rushed him to the hospital as he was unconscious due to a severe head injury. Ling Zhi became infuriated when he heard the news and asked A Lang to find out which hospital Wang Youming was in. Li Xinyi knew it was all Ling Zhi's doing, and she was determined to bring him to justice.
The day when Yu Sheng would lose his energy crystal was almost here, and An Xiner cried in agony because she was about to lose Yu Sheng. Yu Sheng comforted her, saying that these hundred days were the happiest days for him, but An Xiner wanted to spend her whole life with him.
