An Xiner and Yu Sheng went to the yacht to find Li Xinyi for evidence. An Tianmin was worried and reminded An Xiner to be careful. He and Ji Fanyi were waiting at the beach to support them. Ling Zhi recalled his past with Xia La. They were childhood friends, but Xia La had an abusive father who often beat her for no reason. When she turned nineteen, Xia La left home alone to escape the abuse. Ling Zhi wanted to go with her, but Xia La refused. Now that they had finally reunited, Ling Zhi wouldn't let anyone ruin this fate.
Ye Ran submitted his resignation letter as he planned to study abroad for a while, wanting to distance himself from Ling Zhi and no longer be his accomplice. Li Xinyi arrived on the yacht but found Ling Zhi waiting for her. She was caught by A Lang, and Ling Zhi found a USB drive on her. While Ling Zhi was distracted, Li Xinyi managed to destroy the USB drive. Just then, An Xiner and Yu Sheng arrived and retrieved the USB drive. Yu Sheng stayed behind to cover them while An Xiner and Li Xinyi went to the deck. A Lang knocked Yu Sheng down.
Since they were here, Ling Zhi had no intention of letting An Xiner, Yu Sheng, and Li Xinyi leave alive. A Lang attacked An Xiner with a knife, and Yu Sheng tried to save her but was stabbed and fell into the sea. An Xiner berated Ling Zhi and had no intention of surviving alone. She followed Yu Sheng and jumped into the sea. Ling Zhi ordered A Lang to throw the unconscious Li Xinyi into the sea.
Everything calmed down, and Ling Zhi remembered the scene when he killed Shang Zhan. He begged Shang Zhan to spare Jiangnan Entertainment, but Shang Zhan scoffed at him and brought up Xia La. Ling Zhi instantly decided to kill Shang Zhan, used a fruit knife to do the deed, and then staged it as if Shang Zhan died from an illness.
An Xiner had a nightmare, calling out Yu Sheng's name and struggling as she woke up. An Tianmin told her that he and Ji Fanyi were the first to find Li Xinyi and then saw An Xiner not far away. An Xiner recalled how she was lifted out of the sea by a school of fish after falling into it.
An Tianmin managed to recover most of the data from the USB drive. Although the video of Ling Zhi killing Shang Zhan wasn't fully restored, An Xiner wanted to make him confess quickly and decided to use part of the video as evidence. Ling Zhi was celebrating the next step of the new project when he received a video on his phone. Although it wasn't complete, it was enough to frighten him. He could only go to the location mentioned by An Xiner to meet her.
An Xiner used the video as leverage to make Ling Zhi confess his crimes. Otherwise, she would send the video to the police. Helplessly, Ling Zhi revealed the truth. After killing Shang Zhan, An Xiner and Xia La fell into the sea. Ling Zhi saved Xia La but abandoned An Xiner. It was Yu Sheng who rescued An Xiner and brought her back to the spaceship. An Xiner recorded Ling Zhi's confession on her phone. Ling Zhi tried to get her phone back, but it was too late. An Xiner sent the recorded audio to the outside. Ling Zhi tried to kill An Xiner, but she had made up her mind to join Yu Sheng. At that moment, Yu Sheng suddenly appeared and saved An Xiner.
Thinking that An Xiner had no hope of survival after falling into the sea, Ling Zhi left and returned home. Xia La was anxiously waiting for him, and A Lang had been taken away by the police. Xia La was at a loss. Just as they were about to leave, the police suddenly appeared and took Ling Zhi away for investigation, claiming they had new evidence related to the Shang Zhan case.
Ji Fanyi came to see An Xiner and overheard her conversation with Yu Sheng. He learned that Fish Jiao had returned to Earth and specially approved Yu Sheng to live there with the energy crystal. Yu Sheng could now live on Earth as a human. However, Fish Jiao didn't want to see Ji Fanyi for the time being and had gone to a small fishing village. Ji Fanyi immediately headed to the fishing village.
