Follow Your Heart Episode 14 Recap
> Follow Your Heart Recap
Yan Nanxing was brought before Jiang Zhiyi. Facing the Wang Nv, Yan Nanxing showed no fear and cleverly answered her questions, claiming she was Jiang Xinbai's spy and that the kidnapping at the Ghost Market was just for show. As Jiang Zhiyi grew angry, Jiang Xinbai rushed in to help Yan Nanxing, explaining that she had helped him many times in investigating the Zornia herb.
Jiang Zhiyi quickly calmed down and even asked Yan Nanxing to let her try some of her beauty cream, her attitude changing swiftly. Jiang Xinbai guessed that Jiang Suoluo had been stirring up trouble in front of Jiang Zhiyi, so he went to her room to warn her. He told Jiang Suoluo that even if she had grievances against him, she shouldn't involve others.
Jiang Suoluo was unconvinced, feeling that Jiang Xinbai had always ignored her, not realizing that Yan Nanxing held such importance to him. Yan Nanxing managed to please Jiang Zhiyi, giving her a new product she had created before leaving. Back at Hua Xiang Rong, Jiang Xinbai followed her. Liu Ruoqian and Tong Saier noticed and immediately left the space for them.
Jiang Xinbai, worried that Yan Nanxing might have been frightened today, came to apologize, but for her, making friends was always beneficial. Today was the seventh day of Gaya's passing, and Yan Nanxing held a memorial, hoping Gaya would bless Nan Jifeng with safety and help Jiang Xinbai uncover the truth and seek revenge soon.
Liu Ruoqian discovered a corpse in a well early in the morning, and when Jiang Xinbai arrived, he found it was Shopkeeper Cao, with tea leaves in his throat, the kind only found at the Longxin Tea House, exclusively provided by Shang Bieli. Nearby, there was a blood-written death note from Shopkeeper Cao. Jiang Xinbai asked Liu Ruoqian to identify Shopkeeper Cao's handwriting.
Liu Ruoqian confirmed it but raised a doubt: Shopkeeper Cao was barely literate and wouldn't have known how to write "tea leaves. " Moreover, a person like Shopkeeper Cao wouldn't easily commit suicide. In the palace, the emperor rewarded the General Bureau and Jiang Xinbai with the highest honor of the seven seals. Soon, Lord Lu invited Jiang Xinbai to celebrate, but Jiang Xinbai changed the venue to the Longxin Tea House.
Jiang Suoluo, sent to investigate in the southern barbarians' land, discovered that Jiang Xinbai had married there, with Nan Jifeng and his wife as witnesses. Jiang Suoluo speculated that the bride might be Yan Nanxing. Shang Bieli reminded her that this matter was significant since a marriage at the Yuejiang Palace required the emperor's permission. During their conversation, they saw Jiang Xinbai arrive at the Longxin Tea House.
Jiang Xinbai, intending to test the Longxin Tea House, made Lord Lu uncomfortable by mentioning his father's death. Jiang Xinbai, displeased, got up to leave but was stopped by Shang Bieli, who invited him for a private tea session. Jiang Xinbai asked about Biji Mingyue again, and Shang Bieli explained that it was produced in Kunlun Mountain to help Gaya's people. He then asked Jiang Xinbai about the events in the southern barbarians' land.
Jiang Xinbai straightforwardly answered that Gaya died protecting Nan Jifeng. Yan Nanxing brought many beauty creams for Jiang Zhiyi, and Jiang Suoluo joined in. Jiang Zhiyi urged them to get along, stating that Yan Nanxing was now her friend. Jiang Zhiyi inquired about Jiang Xinbai secretly marrying in the southern barbarians' land. Hearing this, Yan Nanxing tried to slip away, while Jiang Suoluo gave her a knowing look.
Jiang Zhiyi, however, had no intention of breaking them up, fearing Jiang Xinbai might end up lonely for life given his temperament. Jiang Suoluo then suggested that Yan Nanxing investigate the identity of the woman. With Jiang Zhiyi's backing, Yan Nanxing couldn't refuse.
