Yan Nanxing knew they wouldn't leave the capital city; there had to be a way. She decided to marry Jiang Xinbai, with Liu Ruoqian and Tong Saier as her family. Despite publicly severing ties with the Yuejiang Mansion, Jiang Xinbai compensated Yan Nanxing generously. Unable to come herself, Jiang Zhixi, Jiang Suoluo brought gifts to welcome Yan Nanxing into the Yuejiang Mansion. Yan Nanxing playfully asked Jiang Suoluo to call her "sister-in-law," but Jiang Suoluo acted coy.

Jiang Xinbai kept his plans hidden from Yan Nanxing because he genuinely wanted to marry her and didn't want her to see this as just a game. After saying these words, Jiang Suoluo softly called her "sister-in-law," and Yan Nanxing immediately smiled. On their wedding day, Yan Nanxing looked exceptionally stunning. Jiang Xinbai was also well-prepared, and Shang Bieli came to congratulate them.

As Jiang Xinbai arrived to welcome his bride, Madame Bao and others blocked the door, but Jiang Xinbai effortlessly passed by tossing money. Just as everything seemed natural, Yan Nanxing suddenly felt something was wrong and quickly covered herself with a quilt.

Jiang Xinbai thought she was just shy, but to his surprise, a man's voice sobbed from under the covers. Jiang Xinbai was speechless; why did this have to happen tonight, and why did it have to be a rough man! Their wedding night was ruined. Jiang Xinbai and Yan Nanxing could only sit there. Yao Qianshu came with news; Lord Li was leaving the city tonight, and Yan Nanxing insisted on going with Jiang Xinbai.

Lord Li decided to expose Lord Lu for killing Nan Jifeng and had more important matters to report to the Emperor. Lord Pei and Lord Lu appeared before the Emperor, presenting many paintings and calligraphy. Jiang Xinbai and Yan Qingyun arrived with witnesses, identifying Lord Lu as Nan Jifeng's killer and the mastermind behind the fireworks incident.

Lord Lu demanded evidence, and Lord Li had to mention Li Wufang and Lu Boan. Lu Boan had already been sent to Miro by Lord Lu, but Jiang Xinbai, Jiang Suoluo, and Shang Bieli intercepted him, presenting evidence. Despite his resistance, Lu Boan drew his sword and killed Lord Li, then committed suicide in front of the court. However, the Zornia Herb case remained unresolved. The Emperor ordered Jiang Xinbai to uncover the mastermind behind the scenes.
