The Emperor allowed Jiang Xinbai to return to the Central Arrest Yamen to thoroughly investigate the matter, but Jiang Xinbai insisted that his immediate destination was not the Yamen but Tingzhou. He believed that the truth of Lord Lu's defiance might be found in Tingzhou. The Emperor agreed to let Jiang Xinbai go to Tingzhou, shocking Shang Bieli, who couldn't stop him in time.

Jiang Xinbai had to delve deep into Tingzhou's den to uncover the truth, while Shang Bieli had to stay in the capital where hidden forces were stirring, needing his vigilance. Hearing this, Jiang Zhixi flew into a rage at home, smashing everything in sight. Jiang Xinbai explained that he sought this position himself; Zornia Herb's mastermind, behind his father's death, had to be uncovered. He must continue investigating, and only Tingzhou could reveal the truth.

Jiang Zhixi worried for his safety, but his grandfather encouraged him to proceed. When Jiang Xinbai announced he would depart early the next morning, Jiang Zhixi fainted. Jiang Xinbai assured her that upon his return from Tingzhou, he would help Jiang Suoluo annul her engagement to Yan Biqing, advising her to take care of herself. Jiang Suoluo hesitated, wanting to share something with him. Clearing out the courtyard attendants like Jiang Xinbai, their struggle officially ended.

Jiang Suoluo brought wine for a toast, revealing her aspirations to become a female minister, wielding power over many. Jiang Xinbai, slightly drunk, confided in her, acknowledging the complexities of ascending to power. Despite his reservations, he chose to trust her. Upon Jiang Xinbai's return home, Yan Nanxing had already reverted to her usual self. Jiang Xinbai complained that Jiang Suoluo had forced him to drink, leaving Yan Nanxing somewhat exasperated at his complaint despite his age.

Jiang Xinbai produced a divorce document, shocking Yan Nanxing, as they had only been married for two days! However, Jiang Xinbai had prepared this divorce to protect Yan Nanxing, intending to secure her safety after the deaths of Lord Lu and Lord Li. Yan Nanxing insisted on accompanying him, but Jiang Xinbai pleaded for her to stay to safeguard the Yuejiang Mansion, leaving the divorce document behind to protect her at a critical moment.

The next morning, Yan Nanxing woke to find Jiang Xinbai gone, leaving a letter declaring his love and commitment but cautioning against lingering due to unfinished business. Liu Ruoqian returned home to find his father injured. To make ends meet, he took on a job in the Ghost Market and cleaned the mansion at Rooster's time. Unbeknownst to him, he cleaned Jiang Suoluo's mansion.

Tong Saier came to cook for Shang Bieli again, trying to help him regain his sense of smell, a gesture he warmly appreciated. Separated by distance, Jiang Xinbai and Yan Nanxing longed for each other. Liu Ruoqian juggled work and studies, never getting enough sleep. Yan Nanxing suddenly disappeared and reappeared, while Bai Yuchen came to Hua Xiangrong on behalf of Jiang Zhixi, holding new products, still disdainful towards her.

Apparently, a new shop had opened across Hua Xiangrong, luring away her customers. A female guest arrived at Hua Xiangrong's shop today, and Yan Nanxing was shocked to find it was the Phantom Physician. Despite their argument over Jiang Xinbai, they were both drawn to the new and enchanting shop across the street, hurrying to investigate the situation.
