Qing Guo Qing Cheng opened today, touted as the capital's top makeup salon. Bai Yuan arrived at the shop with ill intentions, chatting with the owner, Yan Wushuang. Bai Yuan disliked Yan Nanxing and wished to lure away Hua Xiangrong's customers to ensure her closure. Bai Yuan was willing to assist Yan Wushuang in defeating Hua Xiangrong, believing that knowing one's enemy guarantees victory.

Phantom Physician arrived at Qing Guo Qing Cheng in exotic attire, dismayed to find everything sold at rock-bottom prices, even below cost. Yan Nanxing and Phantom Physician planned to cause trouble but were recognized by Yan Wushuang, leading to a confrontation where Yan Nanxing managed to sway some of her clients. Feeling distressed, Yan Nanxing cried alone at night, wishing Jiang Xinbai were present to prevent her from being bullied.

Half a month away from home, Jiang Xinbai hadn't even sent a letter, leaving Yan Nanxing feeling extremely aggrieved. Qing Guo Qing Cheng engaged in a price war, causing difficulties for Hua Xiangrong. Yan Nanxing and Tong Saier couldn't find a solution, but Phantom Physician claimed to have a plan to implement after dark. Jiang Suoluo hosted a banquet for old officials, where Yan Biqing and his father arrived uninvited, intending to support her.

Disdainful, Jiang Suoluo's true purpose was not for the throne but to hold office in the court. The old officials objected, stating that women should behave accordingly and couldn't hold office with men. They challenged Jiang Suoluo to pour them wine and humble herself. Recalling Jiang Xinbai's advice, Jiang Suoluo clenched her fists, poured the wine reluctantly, then retreated to her room where she couldn't hold back her tears, unknowingly causing Liu Ruoqian, hiding in the rafters, to fall down.

Enraged, Jiang Suoluo vented her anger on Liu Ruoqian, ordering him to leave without allowing him to explain. Later, realizing her mistake, she hurriedly apologized to Liu Ruoqian, who smilingly led her to the city wall. Initially hesitant, she eventually shouted out her frustrations as Liu Ruoqian encouraged her, feeling much relieved afterward. Walking home, Jiang Suoluo sprained her foot, prompting Liu Ruoqian to carry her.

At night, Phantom Physician surreptitiously brought Yan Nanxing and Tong Saier to Qing Guo Qing Cheng to sabotage their fortune tree. Witnessing Liu Ruoqian carrying Jiang Suoluo on his back, they were stunned. The next morning, Yan Nanxing went to Liu Ruoqian's home, misunderstanding his visit to Jiang Suoluo's as self-deprecation. Misinterpreting their conversation, his eavesdropping parents rushed in and beat Liu Ruoqian without a word.

Forced to leave home, Liu Ruoqian had nowhere to go but decided to break Jiang Suoluo's vase, providing him with a reason to stay as a maid. Selecting the most expensive vase, Liu Ruoqian's ill intent was apparent, but after understanding the reasons, Jiang Suoluo reluctantly agreed. The next day, Jiang Suoluo went to Hua Xiangrong to find Yan Nanxing.

Aware of Hua Xiangrong's predicament, knowing that Jiang Xinbai entrusted Yan Nanxing to her, Jiang Suoluo helped her challenge Qing Guo Qing Cheng by spreading news of a major sale. Seeing this, Yan Wushuang also lowered her prices, offering a 50% discount, prompting both sides to slash prices further, ultimately ending with a 10% reduction. Although the price war didn't succeed, Yan Nanxing learned the truth about Liu Ruoqian at Jiang Suoluo's residence, finally easing her lingering concerns.
