Tingzhou. In Tingzhou, the two most influential gangs are Bai Yuan Gang and Hei Ao Gang. Bai Yuan Gang runs a gambling den, and Jiang Xinbai's first target is this gang. Unlike Hei Ao Gang, Bai Yuan Gang avoids unnecessary killings, adhering to a code of conduct in their thievery. Jiang Xinbai considers leveraging Bai Yuan's influence to suppress Hei Ao Gang. Jiang Xinbai meets Bai Yuan, the leader of Bai Yuan Gang, without any fear.

Recognizing the real Bai Yuan in the gambling den, Jiang Xinbai reveals his identity, to which Bai Yuan shows no sign of fear or respect. Bai Yuan challenges Jiang Xinbai to a game, but Jiang Xinbai handles himself skillfully. Bai Yuan regards him with hostility as Jiang Xinbai candidly expresses his intentions—to share in Bai Yuan's business. Despite initial tension among Bai Yuan's men, Bai Yuan remains calm upon Jiang Xinbai's assurance not to dismantle his gang.

Jiang Xinbai and Yao Qianshu breathe a sigh of relief; entering Tingzhou's jurisdiction, Bai Yuan Gang's reaction hints at Bai Yuan's possible involvement with Zornia Herb or knowledge of its whereabouts. Bai Yuan indeed understands Jiang Xinbai's purpose—he seeks Zornia Herb. Naturally, Hei Ao Gang is connected to Zornia Herb, and Bai Yuan orders surveillance on Hei Ao Gang to prevent their escape. Jiang Xinbai receives news from the capital that Yan Nanxing is doing well, leading a lively life.

Jiang Xinbai notices the boss of Qing Guo Qing Cheng and inquires about their gender. Bai Yuan and Yan Wushuang join forces against Hua Xiangrong. Bai Yuan realizes Yan Wushuang's grudge against Yan Nanxing—is it because of Yuejiang Mansion? Yan Wushuang explains that Yan Nanxing took over their pharmacy business a year ago at He Man, causing her embarrassment. Outraged, she vows to seek justice.

Jiang Suoluo brings back Liu Ruoqian and devises a plan: a three-day public showdown to challenge Yan Nanxing. However, Phantom Physician suspects they're not targeting Hua Xiangrong but rather Yan Nanxing and speculates that she might have offended someone. Soon, a group of customers arrives, seeking Yan Nanxing's help after buying ointments from Qing Guo Qing Cheng, which ruined their faces.

After Yan Nanxing inspects them, she takes the ladies to confront Qing Guo Qing Cheng, but Yan Wushuang denies any involvement. Alone, Jiang Suoluo questions Yan Wushuang about her intentions, but Yan Wushuang slaps herself twice, runs out crying, falsely claiming Yan Nanxing hit her, leading to a street brawl. Inadvertently, Yan Nanxing sees a crescent-shaped mark on Yan Wushuang's arm, identical to the one on the person who drugged her before.

Shang Bieli receives urgent news and rushes to prevent any harm to Tong Saier. Yan Wushuang causes a scene, while Phantom Physician faints. Yan Nanxing shares her suspicions with Phantom Physician, realizing her last transformation wasn't around the full moon, and they must confirm if Yan Wushuang and the one who drugged her are connected. Yan Biqing and Yan Wushuang are indeed linked, with a complex and unclear relationship between them.

Late at night, Yan Nanxing sneaks into Qing Guo Qing Cheng but is caught by Yan Wushuang and tied up. All those who tested the drug are dead, except Yan Nanxing, who miraculously survived the poisoning meant to control the mind. Curious, Yan Wushuang tries to harm Yan Nanxing again but is knocked unconscious by Phantom Physician and the others. Tong Saier and Liu Ruoqian are shocked to see their beautiful boss transformed into a chubby person.

They restrain Yan Wushuang, who refuses to reveal her benefactor. Tong Saier tries to control her mind by forcing her to drink the drug, unaware that she bleeds to death on the spot.
