With Miss Bai's help, Yan Nanxing safely left the secret room under her identity. Shang Bieli led his comrades, ready to risk their lives, deciding to storm the palace with Yan Qingyun. Jiang Suoluo, assisting Yan Nanxing, informed her that Jiang Xinbai had been imprisoned in the dungeon. Now, saving the Emperor was their only chance to rescue Jiang Xinbai. Upon entering the palace, Jiang Suoluo and Yan Nanxing faced a search.

Insisting on uncovering Yan Nanxing's identity, they were saved by the Empress, who escorted them into the Emperor's bedchamber. Upon inspection, Yan Nanxing confirmed the presence of Zornia herb and decided to detoxify the Emperor with her own blood. Miss Bai pretended to be Yan Nanxing, but couldn't deceive Pei Linfu, who ruthlessly killed her. Yan Qingyun, accompanied by his brothers from the Headquarters and Imperial Guards, demanded an audience outside the city.

Seizing the opportunity, Shang Bieli entered the palace to rescue Jiang Xinbai. Meanwhile, Jiang Suoluo and Yan Nanxing saved the Emperor in the study, needing to act swiftly. The Emperor remained unconscious when Pei Linfu arrived to arrest them, now in complete control. Even if Yan Nanxing detoxified the Emperor, Pei Linfu could manipulate the truth. Shang Bieli and Jiang Xinbai barged in; after Pei Linfu took Yan Nanxing away, he ordered others to be killed.

Pei Linfu eagerly sought the transformation method, finding a vial on Yan Nanxing and forcing her to drink it, thinking it was the transformation potion. Jiang Suoluo protected the Empress, and just in time, Jiang Xinbai and Shang Bieli arrived to save them. The Emperor finally awakened. Yan Nanxing drank the potion prepared by Phantom Physician, lacking only the final ingredient; once consumed, she might never revert. Helpless, she escaped Pei Linfu's grasp.

When Jiang Xinbai and Shang Bieli arrived, Yan Nanxing had disappeared, leaving them no choice but to take Pei Linfu first. Yan Nanxing hid everywhere but unexpectedly encountered Jiang Xinbai on the main street. Before she could check his face, they were interrupted, and Yan Nanxing, awakened from her fantasy, hurriedly left. She might never return or be with Jiang Xinbai again. Jiang Xinbai went to find Yan Nanxing but didn't return. Liu Ruoqian and Tong Saier had been waiting for her and Shang Bieli for a long time, reluctant to part. Jiang Xinbai's senses deteriorated again, fainting in Yan Nanxing's home. After treatment, the physician assured them he would recover eventually.

Jiang Zhixi worried endlessly, still waiting for Yan Nanxing, believing he would wake up! Suddenly, Yan Nanxing felt a sharp pain. Was Jiang Xinbai in danger?
