As soon as Jiang Xinbai's health improved, he decided to find Yan Nanxing. Tong Saier and Liu Ruoqian wanted to accompany him, but he insisted on going alone, saying only he could find her. Jiang Xinbai's first stop was the home of Phantom Physician and Yan Nanxing, where Yao Qianshu and Phantom Physician's cenotaphs were located. Jiang Xinbai told Yao Qianshu that his revenge had been fulfilled, the Zornia herb eradicated, which was surely what he wanted to see.

Jiang Xinbai always remembered Phantom Physician's words; he was determined to find Yan Nanxing. Whenever Yan Nanxing brushed past someone, she would think of Jiang Xinbai. So many figures resembled him, and memories resurfaced. Everywhere she went bore traces of Jiang Xinbai. Jiang Xinbai traveled to Yazhou, where Yan Nanxing once asked him to carry her in his heart day and night, but he had lost her.

Even without knowing her appearance, Jiang Xinbai vowed to find her in the vast sea of people. Living alone, Yan Nanxing set up a stall and still helped little beggars. On that day, Jiang Xinbai finally returned to where they first met and encountered a small beggar who helped him. The beggar made a hand gesture taught by Yan Nanxing, igniting hope in Jiang Xinbai. Following the beggar's directions, Jiang Xinbai went to the stall.

Yan Nanxing tried to flee upon seeing him, but Jiang Xinbai recognized her immediately. Their first meeting was by the river—truly heaven's arrangement. Jiang Xinbai understood her concerns; she feared she could never revert to her true self, but Jiang Xinbai didn't care! Yan Nanxing finally let out all her suppressed emotions, crying uncontrollably. She had missed Jiang Xinbai so much. Embracing, Yan Nanxing reverted to her original form.

Jiang Xinbai finally saw his beloved's face—she was even more beautiful than described. Back in the capital, Yan Nanxing married Jiang Xinbai, Jiang Suoluo married Liu Ruoqian, and Tong Saier married Shang Bieli. Yan Nanxing's grandfather personally officiated their wedding at Ruyi Fang, where they had significant ties. The three grooms had to find their brides from the flower palanquins. Shang Bieli hoped Jiang Zhixi would be fair, not expecting this idea was hers.

Liu Ruoqian volunteered to choose first, hesitating for a long time in front of the palanquins, then intentionally tricking Jiang Suoluo out. Jiang Suoluo worried Liu Ruoqian would climb into her palanquin, so she emerged hastily. Next, it was Jiang Xinbai and Shang Bieli's turn. Jiang Xinbai chose without hesitation, while Shang Bieli hesitated and eventually picked the same palanquin. They both claimed the other was wrong. To verify, Shang Bieli spoke deliberately, eventually finding Tong Saier's palanquin.

Yan Nanxing and Tong Saier then emerged, holding hands with their beloveds. Amid cheers, the three couples kissed amidst blessings. Yan Nanxing showed Jiang Xinbai all her transformation forms, explaining that sometimes, transformations weren't just bad and might even help him. Jiang Xinbai added a picture to the album—Yan Nanxing found by the river. Yan Nanxing hadn't transformed for a long time, possibly due to Phantom Physician's medicine. Perhaps Jiang Xinbai was the final ingredient, the key to their union.

No matter when, Jiang Xinbai would always find Yan Nanxing in the vast sea of people. Shang Bieli spent half a day in the kitchen making porridge for Tong Saier but forgot the rice, turning it into soup, and it was extremely salty. Nonetheless, as it was Shang Bieli's first meal for her, Tong Saier ate it happily.
