Chi Shan came to see Lin Xintong, pretending to be remorseful, and said he needed to confess everything to her. Lin Xintong allowed him in, and Chi Shan claimed that all the harm he had done to Lin Xintong before was under the influence of Xia Yuwei. She had told him that Lin Guofu was a ruthless person who would use anyone for his own gain, and if Chi Shan followed him, he would surely end up as a sacrificial pawn.
Lin Xintong saw through Chi Shan's lies and demanded to know how long he planned to keep acting. She pointed out that her father had been killed by Chi Shan, as evidenced by his attempt to steal her father's hair, which turned out to be fake. Chi Shan realized that Lin Xintong and Qin Moyao had set a trap for him. He stopped trying to deceive her and grinned, saying there was no evidence. Chi Shan pinned Lin Xintong down on the sofa, and she struggled desperately. Qin Moyao arrived just in time and kicked Chi Shan away, reprimanding him and ordering him to leave immediately. However, Chi Shan stubbornly declared that the game had only just begun, and he would keep playing until the end. After Chi Shan left, Qin Moyao angrily removed the surveillance equipment from Lin Xintong's room. He was displeased with her risky actions to lure Chi Shan into leaving evidence, as it put her in danger. Lin Xintong, on the other hand, fled from Qin Moyao, feeling that her family's actions had caused too much harm to his family, and she could no longer face him.
