Lin Xintong hardened her heart to chase away Qin Moyao because whenever she saw him, she would be reminded of the suffering her father had endured because of her. She believed that she and Qin Moyao were destined not to be together. However, Qin Moyao remained unwavering in his commitment to her, always protecting her. One rainy day, as Lin Xintong went out, Qin Moyao held an umbrella for her, getting drenched himself. When Lin Xintong woke up the next morning and didn't see Qin Moyao, she realized he had indeed left. She felt deeply disappointed but thought it might be for the best.
Lin Xintong received a call from Zhou Mo and hurriedly went to his house. Upon seeing her, Zhou Mo launched into a tirade, blaming her for being heartless. Qin Moyao had just been injured for her sake, yet Lin Xintong allowed him to get soaked in the rain, and when he returned, he fainted. Upon hearing this, Lin Xintong rushed upstairs to see Qin Moyao. Seeing how concerned she was for him, Qin Moyao couldn't express his gratitude enough. He knew that Lin Xintong cared about him deeply, and Lin Xintong admitted that she had never stopped thinking about him. The two of them passionately kissed, and Qin Moyao begged Lin Xintong not to torture each other anymore. They finally let go of their grievances and fully embraced each other.
Lin Xintong woke up, and Qin Moyao was still asleep due to his weakened condition. She received a text message on her phone and decided to meet with Chi Shan alone. Chi Shan continued to instigate her about her relationship with Qin Moyao, but Lin Xintong remained unmoved. Chi Shan, filled with hatred, vowed to retaliate against Qin Moyao, but Lin Xintong warned him not to do anything foolish, or else she would accuse him of murder. Chi Shan, however, grinned and claimed to have already destroyed the evidence.
