The show continued filming. Since Shi Qin had withdrawn, He Siyue and Lawyer Zhai formed a new dating guest duo, eager to see the different sparks they would create on the show. He Siyue took the initiative to approach Shen Xingruo, expressing that he didn’t want to date Lawyer Zhai anymore. Shen Xingruo hoped he would stop being a pushover.
She felt it was not her place to meddle in the secrets between He Siyue and Lawyer Zhai, but she urged He Siyue not to hurt Shi Qin again. If He Siyue wanted to make amends, he needed to be more proactive. He Siyue asked Shen Xingruo for a favor: to find a way to bring Shi Qin back. Shen Xingruo came up with a plan and contacted Shi Qin, hoping she would return to shoot some supplementary footage.
When Shi Qin came back, she discovered that He Siyue had orchestrated the entire situation behind the scenes. He Siyue just wanted to clarify everything with Shi Qin; he didn’t want any misunderstandings between them. He had already informed Lawyer Zhai in advance and shared their secret with Shi Qin, explaining that they had turned off their microphones beforehand.
He Siyue confessed to Shi Qin that he had lied before; when he said he was pretending to have a crush on her, that was false. He had actually liked her for a long time. Shi Qin was surprised, not expecting He Siyue to say such things. Though she felt touched, she also felt insecure due to her previous failed marriage.
However, He Siyue didn’t care about that at all; he didn’t want Shi Qin to worry about it because having emotional experiences is perfectly normal. Shi Qin expressed her feelings to He Siyue, telling him he had always been the pure light in her heart—something desirable yet out of reach. Shi Qin was willing to be with He Siyue, and he no longer suppressed his feelings, embracing her in a kiss.
Lu Xingyan took Shen Xingruo to see an art exhibition, fulfilling his father’s wish that she see his paintings. Lu Xingyan asked Shen Xingruo if she was willing to go; if she wasn’t, he wouldn’t force her. Shen Xingruo didn’t refuse. The theme of the exhibition was the story of father and daughter, with Shen Xingruo’s father documenting their story through his art.
Shen Xingruo was very grateful to Lu Xingyan, knowing he had been trying hard to repair his relationship with his father. Without Lu Xingyan, Shen Xingruo wouldn’t have had the chance to meet her father before his passing. They had cleared the air between them and had no regrets. Chen Zhu’s dates with Xu Chengzhou were also different from before.
Xu Chengzhou had changed significantly; the photos he took of Chen Zhu were stunning, and he frequently learned photography techniques from the group’s photographer. Chen Zhu felt very pleased. He decided to go out and buy cakes for everyone, but his car was in maintenance, so He Siyue lent Lu Xingyan his car. However, the car had just been returned after Lawyer Zhai had driven it.
