Liuzheng is worried about Ning Zhiqian when she can't reach him by phone, so she goes straight to his house to ask why. However, Ning Zhiqian refuses to tell the truth and even says hurtful words to Liuzheng, leaving her feeling conflicted and upset.

Liuzheng's probation period is about to end, and she is excited to become an official doctor at Beiya. However, Ning Zhiqian has decided to leave and has already signed a resignation agreement. Liuzheng immediately catches up with Ning Zhiqian and tries to find out the reason, but Ning Zhiqian refuses to explain and leaves after only a few words. Xue Weilin hears about this and suspects that there must be something that hasn't been revealed, so he sends someone to investigate.

Liuzheng doesn't believe that Ning Zhiqian would leave Beiya, so she goes to ask Ding Yiyuan for the reason. Ding Yiyuan tells her the truth about Ning Zhiqian's resignation, and everyone thinks that Ning Zhiqian is a person of good character and that the hospital should not let him leave. They are all willing to speak up for him. Liuzheng then realizes that something is wrong with Ruan Lang and thinks that he might know something.

Sure enough, when Liuzheng meets Ruan Lang, he reveals everything. Xue Weilin investigates and advises Ning Zhiqian to tell Liuzheng the truth. If he doesn't, they will only continue to misunderstand each other. However, Ning Zhiqian is unwilling to do so, and Xue Weilin has no choice but to use boxing to try and provoke him.

After a while, as the two were at odds, Liuzheng arrived and urged them to calm down. They eventually stopped, but still didn't see eye to eye. Suddenly, Xue Weilin received a client call, and the match was interrupted. Liuzheng laughed loudly when she saw this.

Regarding leaving Beiyaa Hospital, Ning Zhiqian had already thought it through. As long as one of them stayed, it was okay, and he hoped that Liuzheng would become a good doctor. Liuzheng was surprised that Ning Zhiqian was thinking of her in this way, and didn't want to hear him say anything else, so she kissed him. Ning Zhiqian responded and took her to a corner to continue.

Although Ning Zhiqian's words made sense, Liuzheng still wanted to go to West City Hospital and wouldn't let it bother her.
