After sending Sang Zhi home, Duan Jiaxu and Sang Yan planned to return to the company, but Sang Yan insisted on going with him. Recently, Duan Jiaxu had always stayed to work overtime after finishing his date with Sang Zhi, and Sang Yan couldn't help but sigh that Duan Jiaxu was willing to sacrifice even his life for a relationship. Duan Jiaxu planned to move to a bigger house closer to Sang Zhi's school. Sang Yan was always concerned about his sister's love life, but knowing that Sang Zhi's partner was Duan Jiaxu, he breathed a sigh of relief, as he trusted Duan Jiaxu's character.

The next morning, Sang Yan had already returned home, and Duan Jiaxu accidentally learned from a colleague that he had seen Sang Zhi and Jiang Ying together at the KTV the other day. Duan Jiaxu immediately went to find Jiang Ying and warned her that if she went to see Sang Zhi again, he would consider reporting her to the police. He would never allow anyone to harm Sang Zhi, and he would do anything for her.

Sang Zhi boldly expressed her ideas at the meeting. Although Shi Xiaoyu disagreed, the management team liked it, so they decided to let the clients choose between the two ideas. Shi Xiaoyu's disapproval of Sang Zhi's opinion grew even stronger. She felt that Sang Zhi was disrespecting her and sarcastically mentioned that Sang Zhi had stolen someone else's boyfriend. Sang Yan told Sang Zhi that he would be leaving early the next morning. Sang Zhi felt inexplicably angry and complained that he didn't inform her in advance. She started crying outside the company building. When Duan Jiaxu returned, Sang Yan quickly handed Sang Zhi over to him to comfort her. Duan Jiaxu knew that Sang Zhi probably wanted to go home, so he planned to take a leave of absence and accompany her. He didn't just want to be Sang Zhi's boyfriend; he also wanted to be someone she could rely on. Sang Zhi still refused to say what happened at the company, but Duan Jiaxu mentioned that he knew Jiang Ying had come to see her and he hoped that she would always tell him about any issues.

In the evening, Sang Yan sent a sum of money to Sang Zhi, her living expenses and pocket money, and advised her not to always get angry with Duan Jiaxu. Sang Zhi's proposal was well-received by the clients, which surprised and pleased her. Duan Jiaxu rented a two-bedroom apartment near the school. Although they wouldn't be living together, Sang Zhi would have a place to rest if she got tired. Duan Jiaxu handed the keys to Sang Zhi with great solemnity, indicating that it would be her home from now on.

Suddenly, the air conditioner in Sang Zhi's dormitory broke down. The dormitory manager said that the maintenance workers were on vacation, and it would have to wait until the end of summer vacation to be repaired. Sang Zhi was suffering from the heat when Duan Jiaxu called and learned about the situation. He decided to pick her up and take her to his place. Duan Jiaxu bought a lot of food for Sang Zhi, tempting her by saying that if she lived here, she would have all these things to eat every day. After taking a shower, Duan Jiaxu played games with Sang Zhi while holding her. Sang Zhi's hair accidentally got tangled in his pajama button, and Duan Jiaxu hurriedly untangled it. He couldn't control himself, but ultimately he restrained his desires out of respect. Blushing, Sang Zhi quickly ran back to the bedroom without even putting on slippers, burying her head in the covers, feeling lost and unsure.

The next day, Sang Zhi and Duan Jiaxu coincidentally wore matching couple outfits. When they opened the door, both of them froze in surprise.
