Ten years ago, Hei Guan Er had undergone a heart transplant. A comrade had donated his heart, but its position was slightly off to the right. As a result, Ma Xianhong missed the correct spot when attempting to shoot. When Lao Meng passed through the forest, he saw Hei Guan Er lying on the ground and assumed he had died. He knelt beside him, feeling sorrowful and shedding tears. Suddenly, Hei Guan Er made a sound, startling Lao Meng.

It turned out that Hei Guan Er had only pretended to be dead to deceive Ma Xianhong. Upon seeing the destroyed Furnace of Self-Cultivation, Ma Xianhong was filled with rage and immediately attacked the special team members. The divine machine beads, one by one, fell off Ma Xianhong’s body.

Lao Meng arrived just in time and urged Ma Xianhong to stop struggling. He added that what Ma Xianhong had done was not something the headquarters couldn’t face. Ma Xianhong calmly told everyone that his decision to be captured was voluntary. He hoped every outsider could find themselves. He warned that if Chen Duo were killed, the other special team members wouldn’t fare any better. Everyone at the scene chose to remain silent.

With Biyou Village and Ma Xianhong’s situation resolved, only Chen Duo’s matter remained. Lao Meng said that his specialized biological field had many similarities to the poison master’s abilities, so he would speak with Chen Duo first to seek her opinion. Before Lao Meng could finish speaking, Feng Baobao walked up to Chen Duo in a daze. The others quickly tried to stop her. Chen Duo didn’t reject Feng Baobao.

Meanwhile, Zhang Chulan quietly reflected that Liao Zhong had accompanied Chen Duo with life and love, but in the end, he didn’t understand that what Chen Duo truly wanted was the freedom to make her own choices.
