Tang Yu pretended to have a stomachache, and Tang Xin had no choice but to help him massage it. Tang Yu naturally held onto Tang Xin's hand and refused to let go. After Tang Xin managed to break free, suspecting that Tang Yu was pretending, she tried to help him back to his room. However, Tang Yu ended up falling asleep on the sofa. Tang Xin reluctantly accepted the situation but couldn't help noticing Tang Yu's handsome face. She mumbled that such a good-looking man drinking too much outside could be dangerous. She covered Tang Yu with a blanket, turned off the lights, and went to sleep in her bedroom.
Early the next morning, Tang Yu woke up to see Tang Xin smiling at him. She calmly exposed his entire nighttime water-drinking routine. Tang Yu was puzzled, and Tang Xin pointed to the camera in the corner, revealing its betrayal. Tang Xin pushed Tang Yu out just as Ding Ding arrived, mistakenly thinking something had happened between them. Tang Xin had to pull Ding Ding inside and explain that nothing had occurred. She then showed Ding Ding a script she had written three years ago, planning to adapt it into a film after finishing the novel, allowing Ding Ding to understand the psychological dynamics of the female lead.
Gao Heng received a bonus early in the morning, a reward for Tang Yu's clever plan. The plan proved successful, at least easing the tension between him and Tang Xin. Ding Ding added Tang Yu, Tang Xin, Lu Zhixing, and Feng Cheng to a group and officially announced her participation as the female lead in "Dreaming for You." Everyone was delighted upon learning this. Lu Zhixing and Feng Cheng, upon discovering that Tang Xin had written a script three years ago, immediately asked her to share it with everyone. Meanwhile, Tang Yu, the first to obtain the script from his sister, read it overnight and found it well-written.
The next morning, Tang Yu and Tang Xin coincidentally met at the door again. Tang Yu handed breakfast to Tang Xin, asking her to try a new flavor. After an awkward elevator ride, where neither pressed the button initially, they both reached for it at the same time. Tang Yu asked Tang Xin what she had altered at the back of the script. Realizing that Tang Yu had read her script, Tang Xin accepted his suggestion to blend the old and new content. Tang Yu encouraged her to be confident, reminding her that she used to be a little tyrant.
Everyone became busy preparing for the official filming of the drama. However, Ding Ding brought some bad news; a blogger claimed that Tang Xin's novel was suspected of plagiarizing "Three Lives Three Worlds." Initially unconcerned, Tang Xin believed it was just a way for the blogger to gain attention. However, the controversy escalated, jeopardizing the film's production and investment.
The board of directors at Yangguang Film Company engaged in a heated discussion regarding the investment. The conservative faction aimed for stability, while the radical faction led by Tang Yu considered the audience and future prospects. Unable to reach a consensus, news of the alleged plagiarism emerged, prompting Tang Yu to temporarily suspend the board vote until the matter was clarified.
Tang Xin's revised novel was taken down due to the controversy, and with colleagues gossiping, she felt extremely upset. Fortunately, Ding Ding arrived in time, taking her to a comforting dinner arranged by Tang Yu. Tang Yu's thoughtfulness improved Tang Xin's mood. After investigating, Gao Heng discovered that Da Jiang Film Company was behind the sabotage. The next day, Tang Yu confronted Zhu Jiang directly, but Zhu Jiang refused to back down. Tang Yu started contemplating how to break the deadlock. When he returned home, his father's words enlightened him, and he thought of a solution.
The following day, Tang Yu convened another board meeting, disregarding opposition. He had Gao Heng draft a statement on behalf of the Yangguang Film Company board. If there were losses in investing in "Dreaming for You," Tang Yu would personally bear the responsibility.
