While Sun Hanhan and He Zhinan were having a meal together, Sun Hanhan experienced stomach pain. He Zhinan suggested that since it's been a few days, she should get an appointment to see a doctor, but there were no available slots at the city hospital. She planned to book an appointment at a private hospital instead, but Sun Hanhan discouraged her, worrying that it might be too expensive and not covered by insurance.

Just as they were talking, Xin-jie called, asking Sun Hanhan to come over for something urgent. Despite her stomach pain, Sun Hanhan rushed to the office. After the work was done, Ceng Cheng brought them some food. While shaking hands with Sun Hanhan, she asked why her hands were so cold, and handed her a cup of hot milk tea. Sun Hanhan was overjoyed, as Ceng Cheng was someone she admired.

While running at the gym, Sun Hanhan suddenly fainted due to her stomach pain. When she regained consciousness, she found out that Mr. Zhou had already taken her to the hospital. The doctor informed her that she had appendicitis and needed surgery. Sun Hanhan insisted on waiting for her mother to arrive because she was scared. The doctor reassured her that it was a minor surgery, but her condition was serious and she couldn’t wait for her mother.

Lawyer Zhou went to take a call, but when he returned, the doctor told him that Sun Hanhan was missing. He quickly went out to search for her and found her hiding in a small room. Crying, Sun Hanhan called He Zhinan, telling her she was scared about the surgery and asked her to come keep her company. Lawyer Zhou overheard and reassured her that the surgeon was highly skilled, and he would also stay with her.

With Lawyer Zhou’s encouragement and support, Sun Hanhan successfully underwent surgery. He Zhinan called her, saying she was busy but would come as soon as she was free to keep her company. Just a moment before, Sun Hanhan had been pleading for He Zhinan to come quickly for comfort, but when she saw Lawyer Zhou enter the room, she told He Zhinan she could come the next day instead.

Lawyer Zhou raised the bed for her, and Sun Hanhan asked how much the medical bills were. Lawyer Zhou told her not to worry about it and to focus on recovery. Sun Hanhan insisted that since he had already saved her life, she couldn’t let him spend more money, and if he insisted, she would discharge herself from the hospital immediately. Seeing how firm she was, Lawyer Zhou relented and said they would discuss it when she felt better.

When He Zhinan arrived at the office, she was about to gossip with Keke. However, before they could say much, J-jie called Keke over and scolded her. When Keke returned, He Zhinan asked if she had angered J-jie. Keke said she had only made a few comments about Qu Yipeng, but J-jie had a thing for him, even though he was already spoken for.

Keke then mentioned that a few days ago, she had seen Qu Yipeng at the mall with a beautiful girl, and the two looked very close. Upon hearing this, He Zhinan became both angry and upset. Qu Yipeng was about to send a message to He Zhinan, but he noticed that he had already been blocked. He then remembered how Han Su wanted those high heels, but when he checked his bank balance, he felt conflicted.

Qu Yipeng went to the company’s finance department to ask for an advance of over two thousand yuan from his insurance. The finance officer told him to wait until next month, as everything for this month had already been processed. Qu Yipeng then used the excuse of a family illness to get the advance approved. Meanwhile, Han Su was hired by the company in Hong Kong.

She immediately went to the mall and bought the high heels she had been eyeing last time. When she returned to the office, her colleagues complimented her, saying she looked like she had a powerful aura. When Han Su got home, she hid the shoes, afraid that Qu Yipeng would see them. She told him that they should go out for a fancy dinner that night, her treat. However, Qu Yipeng suggested they save money and eat at home.

Han Su said she had something important to discuss. Qu Yipeng joked, asking if it was something serious enough that it required a dinner invitation—had she been unfaithful? Han Su countered, saying it was Qu Yipeng who had been unfaithful. When she entered the bedroom, she saw that Qu Yipeng had also bought her the same pair of high heels. Qu Yipeng told her that he always fulfilled his promises.

When he asked what she wanted to talk about, Han Su was so touched by his gesture that she said nothing and instead went to prepare a meal for him. Later, after some business-related drinking, Sun Hanhan was feeling unwell. Seeing her discomfort, Ceng Cheng quickly made her a cup of hot ginseng tea.

Lawyer Zhou had planned to pick up Sun Hanhan, but she told him she was done and asked him to come get her, though she hadn’t received a reply. Ceng Cheng remarked that her husband had come to pick her up and suggested Sun Hanhan come along with her. To Sun Hanhan’s surprise, her "husband" turned out to be Lawyer Zhou. Furious, she immediately discharged herself from the hospital.

Ceng Cheng later asked Han Su if she had told Qu Yipeng about her move to Hong Kong. Han Su replied that she didn’t know how to bring it up.
