Han Su bought a lot of groceries and returned home to cook. When Qu Yipeng came back, he saw that Han Su had prepared a huge meal. He asked her what the occasion was for making so many dishes, and Han Su told him to wash his hands and sit down to try her cooking. Qu Yipeng went to the bedroom and saw two large suitcases packed, which immediately put him in a bad mood.

However, he still sat down as if nothing was wrong. Han Su then told him that she might be going to Hong Kong. She explained that Sister Shan was originally supposed to go, but since she had something come up, the company decided to send her instead. Qu Yipeng asked how the salary was, and Han Su replied that it would double. She then asked if he supported her decision to go.

Qu Yipeng said that doubling the salary was a great opportunity, so why wouldn’t he support her? Han Su asked what he would do if she left, and Qu Yipeng said it wouldn’t be a problem for him. However, he mentioned that it might be difficult to handle the rent alone since they had signed a one-year lease, and breaking it now would probably incur extra costs. Upon hearing this, Han Su felt deeply disappointed.

It wasn’t their relationship he was concerned about—it was the rent. Han Su told him that she could visit frequently, but Qu Yipeng said it wouldn’t matter; they could just stay in touch via WeChat. Hearing this, Han Su’s eyes filled with tears. After dinner, Han Su continued packing the rest of her things, and Qu Yipeng suggested leaving the winter clothes in the closet. Han Su replied that it was fine, and she would pack them as well.

Qu Yipeng asked if she was packing now because she intended to leave for good later. They both fell silent. Qu Yipeng sat in front of his computer, staring at the screen. Han Su took out the pair of shoes that Qu Yipeng had bought for her. He asked why she wasn’t taking the shoes with her. Han Su explained that she had already bought a pair.

When Qu Yipeng asked when she had done so, Han Su said she had gone shopping during her lunch break a few days ago and, seeing the shoes, realized she still liked them, so she bought them. Han Su added that the pair he bought was new and unworn, and she suggested he return them, mentioning that she had called the store and confirmed that they could be returned.

She asked if he still had the receipt, and Qu Yipeng said he did. Han Su nodded and then left. The next day, after seeing Han Su off, Qu Yipeng sent a WeChat message to He Zhinan, asking where she was, only to find that he was still blocked. Taking the initiative, he went to He Zhinan’s building and saw her getting picked up by a driver.

This confirmed his suspicion that He Zhinan was a rich girl, although he didn’t know that it was actually her colleague offering her a ride. Qu Yipeng followed He Zhinan to the supermarket and deliberately created a “chance encounter. ” When He Zhinan saw him, she was angry and walked away. She said that he had a girlfriend and still came to find her. Qu Yipeng then told her that they had broken up.

He invited He Zhinan to go eat tiramisu with him, and she asked why they had broken up. Qu Yipeng said it was because he had fallen for someone else—he had developed feelings for her. He Zhinan asked why he liked her, noting that his ex-girlfriend was rumored to be very beautiful. Qu Yipeng admitted that she was, but said he found He Zhinan to be “cute.

” As soon as she heard this, He Zhinan got angry and walked off, knowing that “cute” wasn’t the same as love. Unsure of how he had upset her again, Qu Yipeng hurried after her to explain, but He Zhinan wouldn’t listen and kept walking ahead. Qu Yipeng ran up, grabbed her, and kissed her on the cheek. This made He Zhinan stop being angry, and the two of them started kissing in the middle of the street.

When Qu Yipeng dropped her off at her building, He Zhinan asked if he wanted to come up for tea. Qu Yipeng said things were moving too fast and that he wanted to savor the moment. Because of this gesture, Qu Yipeng gained even more points in He Zhinan’s heart. Later, He Zhinan attended Sun Hanhan’s scarf exhibition and said she wanted to take pictures to send to “her Qu Yipeng.

” Sun Hanhan teased her, asking since when he became “hers,” to which He Zhinan replied that it was only a matter of time. While they were talking, Sun Hanhan received a text from Zhou Bin asking to meet, and he had also sent her a scarf to her office. Sun Hanhan went to return the scarf to Zhou Bin, telling him not to contact her anymore.

Zhou Bin then told her that he had already divorced Ceng Cheng, even showing her the divorce certificate. Sun Hanhan forgave him, and the two went to have dinner together. Meanwhile, Han Su, now in Hong Kong, reconnected with her university classmate, Alex. Alex mentioned that his friend Gao Peng had recently broken up and wanted to introduce him to Han Su. Back at home, Qu Yipeng ran into the cleaning lady, who asked about his pretty girlfriend. Worried that the truth might come out, Qu Yipeng ended up filing a complaint against her.
