Yu Jiaen was shooting an advertisement on set and quickly got into the groove, earning praise from the director. Lu Zijie, seeing her dedication, asked Zhang Qing to make her a full-time employee earlier. Zhang Qing was surprised as it was the first time Lu Zijie had made such a request. Zhang Qing, Lu Zijie, and Lin Li happened to run into Xu Yao at the company building. It seemed that rivals meeting was particularly tense. Xu Yao deliberately mentioned Lu Zijie's family situation, and Zhang Qing noticed something was off, quickly interrupting Xu Yao. Lu Zijie and his wife had been separated for over a year, but they hadn't divorced yet because his wife suspected him of having an affair. Zhang Qing joked that she should keep her distance from him to avoid being misunderstood by her sister-in-law. Lu Zijie told her that if they had something going on, it would have happened by now, a statement that Lin Li took note of. She deliberately took a picture of Lu Zijie handing fruit to Yu Jiaen at the shooting location, planning to frame Yu Jiaen.

Xu Yao knew that Yu Jiaen was allergic to kiwi fruit. Seeing Lu Zijie offering her kiwi, he knew that Yu Jiaen would reluctantly eat it because of her personality, and she would likely feel unwell afterward. So, Xu Yao didn't hesitate and took away two boxes of fruit. Lin Li took the opportunity to send the photos she had taken to Lu Zijie's sister-in-law, informing her that Lu Zijie and Yu Jiaen were getting close.

Yu Jiaen was shooting under tight time constraints, and they continued until 4 a.m. She hadn't eaten or drunk anything all day. After the shoot, she collapsed from a fever. Xu Yao was extremely worried and quickly had Hao Chenshi bring the car to take Yu Jiaen to the hospital. Little Mi watched on the side, thinking that clients these days were too good. At the hospital, Xu Yao stayed with Yu Jiaen all the while.

Su Yi saw the photos from the set and felt that Xu Yao and Yu Jiaen's relationship was unusual. She looked at the photos repeatedly and noticed that Xu Yao was holding Yu Jiaen's hand. Furthermore, he was answering her calls, and he was even at the hospital taking care of her. The more Su Yi thought about it, the more something felt off. So, she approached Hao Chenshi to try to get some information from him.

As expected, Su Yi managed to get the information that Yu Jiaen was Xu Yao's ex-girlfriend out of Hao Chenshi. He immediately contacted Xu Yao, not only to give him a heads-up but also to ensure that Xu Yao would deny any lingering feelings for Yu Jiaen. The company was in its startup phase, and partners couldn't afford to cause conflicts. Just as Xu Yao was about to enter the elevator, he ran into Zhang Qing coming out of it. Zhang Qing gave him a friendly reminder, hoping that he would handle his relationship with Yu Jiaen appropriately, setting boundaries and being cautious about unintentional actions that might cause trouble for Yu Jiaen.

Su Yi suddenly changed her mind and went to find Hao Chenshi. She hoped that, for now, he would keep the knowledge of Xu Yao's relationship with Yu Jiaen a secret. She liked Xu Yao, and Yu Jiaen was already in the past. She didn't mind; what she wanted was a future with him. So, when the time was right, she would confess her feelings to Xu Yao.

Xu Yao extended Yu Jiaen's FANXING platform membership permanently and told her it was the client's way of showing appreciation for her hard work on their project during this time. However, Yu Jiaen still hoped that Xu Yao would maintain boundaries between work and personal relationships, keeping them separate. Lu Zijie's wife came to the company building and confronted Yu Jiaen in front of everyone, accusing her of being the other woman. Yu Jiaen was utterly bewildered, not understanding why she was making such accusations.
