Since Zhang Qing's mother came to Beijing, she rarely worked overtime at the office, and when she did, she worked from home. She accidentally came across WeChat messages between her mother and younger brother, Zhang Qiang, revealing that she had been manipulated by her family. Her mother's visit was to inquire whether she still had money, as they wanted to use it to renovate their hometown house. Zhang Qing was devastated by this revelation. Yu Jiaen tried to speak up for Zhang Qing, but Zhang Qing's mother rebutted her. Zhang Chunfen left without wearing a coat, and Hao Chenshi followed her to give her one. While overhearing Zhang Qing's mother and daughter's conversation, Hao Chenshi realized that Zhang Chunfen's name wasn't just a simple matter – it represented a past she was desperately trying to leave behind. Understanding the challenges of Zhang Qing's current life, he didn't distance himself from her but felt even more compassionate.

After the meal, only Xu Yao and Yu Jiaen remained. Fortunately, they had resolved their previous conflicts. After a satisfying meal, Xu Yao went to pay the bill. However, a medicine bottle fell out of his coat. Yu Jiaen checked the medicine's name and discovered that Xu Yao had a mental health condition, most likely stemming from the failure of their previous startup. She suddenly softened her attitude and showed unexpected gentleness towards Xu Yao. After leaving the restaurant, Yu Jiaen invited Xu Yao for a walk. She assured Xu Yao that she would always be a friend he could turn to.

Li Nianhuan expressed her desire to work in Beijing to her parents, but her father scolded her. He had already arranged a future for her, and her stubbornness surprised him. Fortunately, Li Nianhuan's mother supported her daughter.
